BATTLEFRONT Beta October 8-12

BATTLEFRONT BETA WILL BEGIN OCTOBER 8th AND RUN TO THE 12th

The Beta will be open to everyone and will include 3 game modes.

• 40-player Walker Assault on Hoth, in which players can join the Rebels to fend off an Imperial assault, or side with the Imperial effort to bring law and order to the land

• Survival Mission on Tattoine, a solo or two-player co-op battle against overwhelming odds

Bacon, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but there is no need to create multiple threads throughout our forums for the same thing.

So might be a dumb question but battlefront will be my first PC release game which I'll be playing once it drops. Coming from console I'm sure it's the same? Out at midnight?

I'm not referring to the beta but full game release. :)

Im fairly certain that you will be able to preload and start playing at midnight.

I told Bacon to put this in the general AOD member section as well as our Battlefield section in order to reach more people that I am sure are interested in trying out this beta.

Guaranteed there will be a preload they don't want to put that much strain on download servers all at once. I imagine there will be millions of people trying this out across 3 platforms it's a big happening.

hah still don't know about this game or if ill buy it (we'll see after a week or two of launch), but that was pretty cool.

I'm just gonna say it now, the vehicle controls suck. With the mouse and keyboard its very difficult to turn ships around. With the 360 pad, the right stick is for moving up, down, left, and right and the left stick is for moving side to side? Makes me feel left handed. Like did the developers ever play Rogue Squadron II? Just follow that control scheme.

I've been looking forward to this game since I saw the first trailer. Haven't played it yet, but I'm gonna let it download it tonight while I'm at work and play it when I get home. I haven't heard the greatest things about it so I'm not sure what to expect :/
