Weird Mic issue

So after a while, my microphone will just stop working and I have to unplug it and plug it back in. When I say stop working, it just stops picking up my voice.

This happens in game and in TS. When I unplug it and plug it back in it starts working again in TS, but not in game. It's a turtle beach (THE HORROR) px22 that's in good condition.


Some things I have tried

• Changing the exclusive mode settings in sound manager, it still occurs regardless of these settings
• Plugging it in different USB ports
• Updating drivers
• Swearing at it
• Hitting it with an empty plastic waterbottle

The problem most likely lies with the kind of headset you have. I find that Turtle Beach headsets are mainly directed towards console players. I may be wrong here, but it could also just be the USB headsets. I have a USB headset myself, and I also experience this same problem at times. My headset is a complete different brand than yours however. I have the Corsair Void RGB headset. I just need to unplug my headset and plug it back in, and then it works. For the odd games though, I will need to restart it for the sound/mic to work again.
