    Default Cable organization

Do to my previous thread, i feel i should police my cables. Does anyone have some good techniques on how to do this ? I used zip ties last time but its still really nasty.

I'll post up some photos of the nonsense shortly

Here is mine. I would have had less cables on the bottom if I had a fully modular PSU. But since I have semi modular PSU there are many unused cables that makes it look like a snake cave. However the case is designed in such a way that you can't actually see it once the case is closed.

Try to use the natural stand offs and use zip ties ( I got low profile, shown), also don't be afraid to force cables to do your bidding (away from connectors obviously).

Cable management is on a case by case basis and in general larger full tower cases and a select few mid towers will have excellent management. I got those zip tie standoffs (square) for places that did not have a built in zip tie stand off.

It comes down to how neat you really want them, this can be a time consuming part of your build but it will look so much nicer. The only cables visible in my build up front are the GPU and ATX24 pin cables but since I have tempered glass on both sides I need to have both managed well.

If you have a case that has cable holes run it all behind the frame of the desktop and pop them through the holes closest to the area you're plugging the cords into, I gave up caring on it because my case is on the small side and it's difficult to plug things in so I just kept my CPU area clear of cords. The other option is trying to run them around the edging of the case.

And I use Zipties to get cords together.

Try to zip tie as many cables as you can and displace them around the edges of the case. Something like this:

drives you add last. First manage all those big cables and then you can deal with SATA cables

It's not the power and what not that's the problem it's all the drive cables.

That cable porn, this isn't safe here.

@ Darkn3ss your extra cable issues could be solved by a modular power supply and using only the cables you need. If you aren't in a position to purchase such a supply currently then wrestle them the best you can.

issue i had faced m8 with the modular power supply is the way they face, so their usually on the opposite side of the power hookup. Theres no clearance for the titan or even the 970 i had in there before that with such a thing. I had to get a really small one that was semi modular in order for there not to be too many links to block the clearance of the card >.<

looks like in that photo they figured it out somehow, maybe its straight up touching the cables?

if you really want to get crazy, draw a simple outline of what your case looks like with it's cable management ports. Then distinguish which way you will route all your cables, in what order. Then do a dry run loose fit, make sure everything is working perfectly one more time. Then go back in and adjust the cable tensions, appearance and placement.

Does anyone know of SATA III cables that are a bit more moldable then these? or is that the standard size and i should just get one that works good with the angles out of the drive housing?

    Yeah, these are pretty good.

If you search there are multiple sizes.

Think this might be only mildly better than last time. The air from intake to exhaust is direct, I question the Titan but it's not to different than before as all cables used to go up and under the drives than over on the other side.

    Any Suggestions for improvement ?
