Default Looking to build another PC

    Heyyy!

I am looking into a AMD Build. I'm also looking into getting atleast a 3000 series GPU beofre the 4000s come out because I am not willing to get the 4k series and have problems with it. So therefore I am looking at atleast Ryzen 7 for a CPU that can smoothly run games and NOT have problems of overheating and constant crashing (which I have that problem now). My PC will randomly crash aka all components stay lit for RGB but PC just stops working

budget, types of games you want to play going forward (do you want to play the newest stuff in a few years?), do you use it for anything else besides gaming (editing, CAD, etc)?

So, my thinking is about $2.5k - I am wanting to play Escape from Tarkov and WoWS without any stuttering and things within the next few years. I am wanting to learn how to Video Edit since I am wanting to get back into Streaming Leisurely. I would definitely like to find a CPU that can handle both (which I am probably going to need to look at Intel for that). But any type of build that I can have for my Main Gaming PC.

My Current PC Specs are as the following:

    CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor
    RAM - 32 GB G.Skill
    GPU - Radeon RX 580

GPU wise if you can wait, I would wait til 4 series drops from nvidia for one of those/ to have the 3 series drop in price.

something like this? not sure on preferences likes water vs air cooled/might want go higher or lower on stuff like cpu/tower style/etc, if you will salvage any parts from current build like SSD or fans, and if you need anything peripheral wise like monitor, etc. I have a sata ssd there as well, nice to put OS on that and all your games on NVME as OS activities won't clog your main device while gaming and/or other things.

I've always wanted that cooler... but never did like a Case that it would fit in. But once I saw the beauty that is Lian Li Cases ... I know I have to get that one now!

He put a solid build together except it has 2133c13 memory which is absolute bottom barrel memory. I'd be going minimum 3600c16 at this point. Best balance of speed and easy stability on ryzen. I'd say 4000c16 but ryzen can struggle with that speed. Definitely go with a 3080 12gb they can be found for the same or less in a lot of cases than the 10gb version. I've seen them for $700 lately in the gigabyte gaming oc and asus tuf. The tuf would match nicely with the board he speced out for you too.

You know with a $2.5k budget the sky's the limit.

I put together a very nice high end all AMD system for 1.9 a few months ago and game at 1440 ultra wide with no compromise. That same system today would be hundreds less. (didn't include the price of the monitor which I already had)

When I plan a system I start with the CPU and then build outward.

In my case I use this PC at high elevation so I wanted something easy to cool. Good thermals in hardware also translate to lower power costs.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (still hands down the most efficient CPU you can get with solid gaming performance IMO) A little undervolting improved thermals and performance.
    ASUS Prime B550 Plus
Saphire Pulse RX6800XT OC (for the same money today you could get a 6900 series)
32GB DDR4 3200 (with RAM I shop for specs then price and whatever brand has the best deal of the day)
850Watt PSU (again any good brand with a good rating and price that day)

I wrapped it all up in a white Lianli Lancool II which is a solid mid range ATX tower.

I didn't buy an aftermarket cooler but instead used a spare stock AMD cooler for my 3900X which is pretty solid when placed over a 5600X

You can wait for the new hardware and that may not be a bad idea but keep in mind you are then waiting and whatever you buy will be replaced or upgraded within a year anyway and you'll probably still be in a very similar price/performance point anyway because the new stuff will be comparatively more expensive anyway.

thanks so much! I'll definitely look into what CPU I'll be using for this upcoming build.
