Have you installed the drivers that come with the graphics card?
    For example,
I can toggle mine off and on from the driver installed.
You should be able to go into advanced settings and toggle it on and off and how powerful you want it.

If you ever see Shadow online, ask him. He's quite the computer wiz.

Are you running Afterburner or anything like that on your machine? The fan over-ride could be set on it.

What card were you using previously? It's possible that it's a driver leftover that's causing problems so running Display Driver Uninstaller (Formerly Driver Sweeper) http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/...-download.html could clean any residue out that's giving you headaches.

You can try downloading and installing NVidia Inspector and checking the fans. It's possible that there's a vBIOS problem and this will allow you to override that using an actual NVidia product to do so.

You could also check to see if it's a static charge in a capacitor that's causing it. Unplug your system from the wall, press and hold the power button on the machine for 30 seconds to drain the capacitors. When you do this you might want to open your tower and reseat your GPU just to be sure.

Let me know if any of this works.

No problem man. Hopefully this takes care of it. If you have the same issue with the new one, let me know and we'll get the thing working :)
