THOSE Guys are what separates a "Pilot' from a "Yoke holder'. They not only understand their equipment and it's abilities, but also understand aerodynamics, hydraulics, and a host of other things NOT taught to many pilots today. They also knew how to fly "By the seat of their pants' which to many, means a carefree attitude. It in fact, literally refers to "Feeling' the airframe beneath their ass/pants..the engines rhythm, feel of the air across the vehicle and its control surfaces....My Grandfather flew this way and taught Me how to fly this way. Pretty interesting read
