Default Error in Windows 10, latest update

    Greetings Everyone,

So my sound was working fine till this past update that came out like last week I belive, where it essentially re-imaged itself and kept your data. I tried manually installing the drivers to no eval.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get my audio back ?

Right click the drivers and go to properites then go to hardware ids and and copy and paste the driver details it gives you.

You could do that, but one method I typically do with my defective drivers is uninstall them and restart the computer. Windows will by default install the drivers that allows your computer to run.

Go to the dell website, support section, and use the service tag to get to your product. Downloads and Drivers section, find the drivers you need and install them or have the auto scan scan your PC and automatically install the needed drivers. then go through a second time and check on them. I had the exact same issue, just had to install the missing IDT audio drivers.

I had the same problem with my Win 10 install as well. The problem is that Win 10, just like Win 8 before, has too short time frame given to the drivers to install, so the installation fails on old, slow computers.

    Fix: http://kb.stonegroup.co.uk/index.php...ry&EntryID=289

Also, all of the Win 8/Win 7 drivers are compatible with Win 10, so if you have the old drivers, you should be good to go. Or you can just let Windows find them.

Negative, Darkness. The Dell website works just fine. Manual downloads or automatic, most of them work as they are built for the windows architecture framework in general and not for the specific OS usually.

Will try it again, but it was a no go last attempt.
