I think We should make A rule about this. Other then No hunting. It gets Kinda hard when clan tags dont allways show up. Does Any7one else have some Ideas

Hello HolyPrinze,
Are you talking about joining a game and finding AOD members on the other team?
If so, it's always been fair game in that situation, usually turns into a fun thing!
Now if you hear "Do you like that plane" from an AOD member on the same team... now that's a whole different kind of problem!
Keep it lite hearted, have fun!
I think it is for when we sync the squads up and are on opposing sides and some clarification is wanted;
I take the attitude of;
If your silly enough to cross my line of sight, within range and in a manner that makes you an easy target then I only read the plane name to knows it capabilities as the pilot needs to learn to be more careful. (I hope AoD members do the same to me its how we improve).
If they are in a bomber it depends on how we are playing, if they say they are grinding xp for upgrades or a particular purpose I will leave them alone, if they say nothing & are attacking the bases I tend to shoot the bombers down (dont want to lose).
If I am diving in on a furball & I see 3 targets, one or two being an AoD member I will try to engage the second or third target (respectively).
If I am just making passes & see that the person I am following is an AoD member I tend to break off - however as I found out last night the member you where shooting at might not realise & shoot you down despite you trying to leave them alone... ;)
When in doubt I just fall back on the honour principle of what is the most honourable thing to do, killing them in self defence is a necessity chsing them 4 km into the sky and 10 km away is not. Choosing them as "your target" in a furball is questionable. Revenge killing them for killing you (& focusing on them) is not, in my book if you see an AoD member who is not engaging you & has broken off you shouldn't pursue, at least I try not to.
When its just AoD members left I think its a "all rules dont apply" scenario and we all engage each other
OK let me explain one more time.
THERE IS NO OFFICIAL RULE.
When ever you sink in with another squad make sure that you all decide on what rules to follow UPFRONT.
And that all members in the squads understand the rules decided on.
What ever the rules are 'guns open , guns close' make sure you follow the COC ,
and don`t hunt AOD members just because they are AOD members.
Hunting AOD because they are AOD is exactly why we came up with the 'rule' NO SHOOTING AOD.
we had a few members who were hunting other members because they thought that was funny,
and if all players decide that is funny 'fine go ahead,
but if players wanna play a normal game and they are being hunted down because of their tag then thats not funny,
because they cant play a normal game anymore.
Now I know that in the heat of the battle sometimes you stop reading name and just kill the reds, ( I know I do, sry )
now that happens, DON`T make a fuzz about it , say sorry and move on.
Personally I wil Always try to avoid shooting AOD even if the rules agreed on is 'guns open '
The rule we decide on most of the time is :
NO HUNTING AOD because they ARE AOD.
NO shooting AOD unless they are:
1 capping the airfield
2 bombing the bases/groundtroops and thus winning the match that way.
(if you were in a bomber and was shot down by an AOD dont hunt him because he shot you down )
and if are being shot down by AOD dont get mad say thx and move on , it happens .

Like boom said, there is no official rule, and we can not set a rule about it.
Now there are ppl that can't take it, with or without rules (one of them is me) my suggestion is to just avoid syncing in.
I've seen the rule set up both ways. No shooting AOD on the other team, and weapons free. As long as you declare the rule before you launch each round for everyone to hear, you'll be fine.
My 2 cents:
I personally have been on both sides of this. Guns open & guns closed. I personally stick with guns closed. As soon as guns open happens, I end up finding myself constantly being shot down by AOD, even when I try to avoid them. Now this generally happens when two or more squads are syncing in. My personal opinion, guns closed unless capping airfield or bombing airfield.
Now if you come across a random AOD member and you have a squad, guns closed. If you're both solo, guns open.
Custom battles and our weekly events are the times when everyone gets to shoot each other. But, in random matches, being chased by 4 AOD members isn't fun.

I think we could look to the CoC to help sort this out, particularly #'s 1, 3, 4, 8, 9 and 10 .. http://www.clanaod.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3327
If we do not shoot each other, think of the example it sets of our clan to other clans and the entire WarThunder community.. We will become known as the clan that doesn't play "fairly" , we are an honor clan and as such should play the game as it is intended to be played. Hunting of members goes against who and what we are and always have been, avoiding members also goes against our very structure. I think we should just play the game guys.
If it becomes a problem, it should be handled in the appropriate manner according to, again.. the CoC. There is a reason we have these rules, and a reason AOD has been around so long.
Trying to get a revenge award in-game is one thing, but hunting is another and should be handled as such, CoC 6 & 7.
and please remember, it is a game. We should not hunt each other, but we should not avoid each other either.. IMHO we should just play the game as it is intended to be played.
If you are grinding trying to upgrade your particular vehicle, then maybe it is not in the best interest to be in a squad that is syncing in.. you can solo, or form another squad that is not syncing with another.
Just my thoughts..
