    Default PlanetSide 2 TS?

Is it really mandatory? I'm already in the outfit (AODR) on Emerald and wanted to get full membership. But the form says you need to be on TS whenever you play. I really hate voice comms unless it's with people I'm friends with in real life. Can I not be in the outfit if I don't use TS?

Yes, to be a full member you will have to utilize voice coms. You don't have to speak much if you don't want, but they are mandatory.

You are required to have a microphone, and be able to answer questions during your induction process. After that, you are welcome to sit in the "Quiet Room" whenever you want to have less comms. Also, we have several different platoon/squad channels available, if the main platoon channel is too chatty for you.

Not participating in our TS would most likely impact your promotion above the level of Cadet, but if you are not looking to lead squads or platoons anyway, than you probably won't mind being a Cadet forever.

I would wonder why you would think of joining a 2,000+ member gaming clan, where we play over 10 different games, if you don't like the social aspect of gaming. AOD just might not be the best fit for you, but on the other hand I know members who have been in AOD longer than I have who almost never talk in TS.

Hmm, ok. Thanks for the replies! Could anyone post the TS server IP or let me know where I can find it?

Put in an application for PS2 and an NCO from that division will private message you that info.
