    Default Having problem with sound

Sound in war thunder has stopped working for me. I have restarted the client, rebooted the computer, and check in game settings. Sound comes through every other game or program. I have checked online forums and some other people have had the same issue. Has anyone else have this problem or an idea how to fix it? Right now no sound in war thunder, but it does make me more observant in game.

    Re-install the game maybe ??

For the Angel of Death spread his wings on the blast,
And breathed in the face of the foe as he passed,
And the eyes of the sleepers waxed deadly and chill,
And their hearts but once heaved, and for ever grew still.

Try verifying local files on steam. Right click War Thunder -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Cache. Hope that helps you.

    Other fixes possible-
Check Your WinSound files. That is,icon in lower right corner/speaker.Click that.Make sure all settings are as they should be for Your particular computer. If You hv a soundcard vs onboard sound, make sure it is the primary. This may have changed due to a WT update or WinUpdate recently released.

Run CCleaner/Malware Bytes. Get all un-needed crap off the computer. Won't solve a damned thing for this, but a good chance to do so and perhaps, speed up the machine.

test to see if it's the gamefile,or Your computer. Does ALL sound work EVERYWHERE else?Streaming videos, online music, saved vids w/sound,test em all. This'll help.If nothing else,re-install full game, verify game cache BEFORE starting WT after re-install.

    Good luck

Hi, my name is Byrdanator from tech support, and it appears that you are calling us today about a sound issue with your game.

Have you tried turning your speakers on?

    Windows 10 right ?
If you run it via steam, close steam and run it as administrator, if that doesn't work and you have Geforce expirience do the same thing, close it and run it as admin and then run the game via Geforce experience.

PS: also check if there are any major updates for windows 10, i am using Build 10166 right now and the problem is gone

Thank you all for the input. My sound is back on after I followed Pegleglarry advice.

Honestly I barely ever play this game WITH sound haha taking away the sound helps me a lot more aware of my surroundings and makes my playing experience more peaceful. But the sounds are nice every now and then :)
