So was in game and saw this. If all else fails use your teamates tank and shield.
They had toe cable attached amd were pushing him around the map this way

It is a temporary solution as far as I know. Doesn't the dead tank despawn after some time?

From the looks of it, I assume you didn't let them get far with that.
But towing usually is fun to watch. Especially as an incoming bomber when you see 4 people trying to help some dude who got stuck.
