    Default Introduction

Ok I've been with AOD for a few weeks and have had the honor of playing several times with fellow members to include helping out with the Death Panthers in squadron battle but haven't fully introduced myself and would like to say hi.
Well to begin with War Thunder I mostly play the ground forces with a strong focus on the soviet tech tree but have done some work into the other countries as well. I play to start working on my aircraft lines more here in the next few weeks and always would take solid advice from anyone that i meet.
As for my personal life I'm a college student working on a degree for Computer Networking and Security, and am a Program Coordinator for Boy Scouts of America's Scout Reach Program. I've been heavily active with scouts for most my life to include working as staff at a summer camp where we would have more then 4000 scouts and adult come over just 9 weeks. I worked in the aquatics area with the last two years up there serving as the aquatics director, so leading large groups and focusing on vital task is nothing new for me. In high school i was in AFJROTC and was the Wing IG and it inspired me to join the military myself.
So after high school i went and joined the navy and served as a Nuclear Machinist Mate on board submarines( yes those little tubes that stay underwater). I recieved my Honorable Discharge and came back home for family and to pursue an education.
I look forward to meeting more of you and staying by your side in the heat of battle. If you want to know more either pm me or find me on i try to play between 2 and 5 pm mountain time Monday through Thursday and noon to 5 Friday through Sunday and again later that night if i have time.

Welcome aboard.....so to speak....I used to work with a guy that was a commander on one of those not so little tubes that stay under the water. I had great respect for him as I do you for your sacrifice to serve our country. Gee....I'm tearing up..... Seriously though, welcome to AOD, I'm sure you'll find you're among family now.

Thanks guys, and B.Rubble yeah no free rides for sure even getting some sleep cost something, let alone anything else you tried to do, and thank you too B.Rubble. And i enjoyed my time on the boat but it wasn't for me even with the huge re-up bonuses, and PapaPnut i bet your coworker who was a CO of one could tell you some pretty funny stories or how painful it can be. Every nuclear vessel the Navy own has to pass a Operational Reactor Safety Exam(ORSE) every year if possible(Due to deployment schedule may be longer) and it is to make sure the engineering department is meeting the standards, but the catch is it does involve the whole boat for example when we run certain drills like a fire people outside of engineering have to respond or bring the sub to higher depth for flooding or another emergency we would have to run. It definitely was no easy life but made some great friends and have a few brothers now. And as for finding family on here i'm already seeing that and greatly appreciate it and enjoy it, this is the kind of community i was looking for when i went looking for a clan to join. Thank you guys for welcoming me.

Hello there TheRealDon. Can we call call ya don? How about Donny?
Welcome to AOD. First thing. I love the introduction. Haven't seen a formal introduction by a new member in awhile. Power Points go to you for that one. Second. I respect anyone who is or was ever in the Military. There's something to be said about someone who's willing to lay down their lives without thinking about it for this country of ours. As for the Boy Scouts. MORE Power points to you on that one. Always nice to see someone helping out and giving the younger generation direction in their lives.
I, like you, LOVE doing tanks. I'm not the best at it nor am I the worst. But I'm learning every damn day. Love my Russian tanks. Hopefully we can link up and storm the fields in a couple of T-34's and wipe the field clean.
