Default After Yesterday's Meeting I checked out (Action!)

So someone towards the end of the meeting mentioned checking out a recording program called Action! and I decided to download the trial version. So I recorded a video and decided it might be worth asking you guys to watch and see if anyone can help me improve.

Hey man :) I think it's awesome that you share your gameplay with us and I will try to help :)

    Looking at the P-400 run:
Too me it seems like you make yourself an easy target very often. An example would be your very first heading in to the battle, as you go straight in while climbing.
This leaves you very vulnerable as you got low speed and no teammates above who can clear your tail. Personally, these are the targets I find the easiest to kill.
A fix to this problem might be to go a little bit to the side, staying close to friendlies and picking your targets.

The next thing that happens is perfect :) You go for your squad mate and scare his pursuer off, this is great and truly a win-win situation for you team.

The last thing I want to mention is at 3.17 where you chase a target straight in to the cluster of enemies. SITUATIONAL AWARENESS is the key phrase here.
There is no doubt about him luring you in to his teammates. I think you should have broken off, flew some km away and reengaged :)

I hope this was somewhat helpful and I wish you glhf :)

Hello Tobias, if I can give you some helpful advice it would be better awareness. Example if your chasing a target and closing try your best to have a look everywhere to make sure your not a pray for someone else, it also helps to setup your next target.

It's tricky but it comes with experience. My next tip would be flaps to help turn in AB.

When your online and see me I will gladly join you to talk about other detail.

But your doing great don't forget it's a game have fun and stop smoking ;)

    Keys I see-

1-As mentioned, situational awareness. "C' is default for looking around/pilot head movement w/out changing direction of Airframe. If this is awkward, try experimenting w/other keys as the hot-key for that,so You can look around. AOD often heads "Into the blob of Red' But We do it w/team-mates,or the idea of drawing people away from a objective. Gotta keep Your "head on a swivel'.
2-NEVER engage while climbing unless in dogfight. 1v1 and You're climbing?Target all over that planes under-belly. I often kill those targets as they are relatively un-armored on the bottom of airframe.Easy kills. If You MUST climb/engage,do so watching Your airspeed and handling...Stay out of the "Stall zone' and learn to use Your flaps! In a Climb, they can help You "Hammerhead' turn and put nose down, gaining speed.Remember, speed is altitude, altitude is life!
3-NEVER be afraid to disengage a enemy You're chasing if they're leading You into the fires of hell. Doing this is tricky, and depends on the airframe. Level 3.0 and above German fighters?Dive away, accelerating as hard/fast as You can. You'll outrun most planes in the game. American fighters?Shallower dive, with maneuvering to avoid fire. Russian planes, You're fu**ed..lol
4-Fly w/AOD. We commuicate,We strategize, and we talk MAD pewp about the other guys..Fun all around!

Thank you guys for the replies. I read every bit. I think I've improved a little bit if I say so myself. Not much but a little. :d Sometime later I'll do another video after I've improved some and see what every body thinks.

I watched you video aswell, a few tips from me!

    1. Drops you mouse sense, it easier and more relax to aim.
    2. SA (Situation awareness) try use the "C" button more to look arround. Where is the enemy and where might he be heading. At the first encounter you had to many enemies in front of you, take it easy dont be the first to rush in the fight.
    3. arround 3.50 min you got a BF 109 E behind you, he is faster than you and almost at 0.95 km, your plane cant turn that fast. When you want to encounter him he has to be at 1.5 km atleast!
    4. Aggain SA with vs the LAGG, you could easily see him. Also when he did shot you and you planes in on fire. Drop the throttle and dive down, big chance the fire might go out!
    5. Try to calculate where is the enemy and where he might go to, than you can get a good angle on him.
    6. When ur close enough to an enemy you see a circle where to aim at... Perfect! but thats only the center of the planes, try shoot in front of that circle, there you hit the enemy planes/pilot! more kills!

on this thread you find some much help!

You will get there my young padawan!
May the force be with you!
