    America Vertical targeting

Vertical targeting compensates elevation for drop. If you disable it your guns simply shoot parallel to your plane and you must compensate for drop yourself (especially when shooting at targets quite a distance away). If enabled your guns and gunsight will be aligned such that your guns pass through your aimpoint at your set gun distance. When shooting at other distances you must correct for this yourself.
    Caliber ConvergenceEdit

    7.54mm 200-300m
    20mm 300-400m
    34mm 500-600m
    54mm 600-700m
    75mm 800-Onward.
Essential on planes with several types of guns loaded. Makes sure your MGs and Cannons hit at the same point instead of letting them drop at their separate arcs.

So with .50cals like on the p47 or p51 what is the ideal vertical targeting? I have had it set on 500m for a while.

I didn't know that VT was adjustable like convergence. All I ever saw was a simple on or off. Can someone enlighten me?

    Jax,ur missing the point mate..
VT is specifically set for CANNON fire.Cannon rds are heavier than MG.Their prescribed arc of fire is less than that of a MG rd due to weight, coriolis effect, etc. Turning on VT ensures that Your Cannons convergence is set to Your MG's setting, ensuring coincidental convergence of all fires.
