1.53 is now out

This is what I got from 1.53...

That Achilles is gonna be lethal. 171mm pen with a proper round. That's 4mm less than the German APCR. Same gun T2,3 and 4 except Black prices gets a APDS with 225mm pen.

Also the hunter is sexy.

boom, mine did that the first time.. i had to exit the game completely and restart the launcher and it started updating.. well.. i dunno if you can call it updating since 3 hours later i now have double the time left on my download than when i started :(

Notes as follows

1-it's pretty,oh so pretty.The new engine is the shit.However,it WILL,repeat WILL change Your vid card settings to lowest available to play the game. This is to be expected. You will need to go to game options/graphics and change things to Your liking. Furthermore,ALWAYS turn off anti aliasing..it's a throwback to a worse time..

2-Speed of game-the game is MUCH faster now. When in a game,and You choose Your aircraft,you have approx 2 seconds,BOOM,ur flying. No sitting/waiting. BOOM, ur in. Also,spawn points changed for many arcade maps.Not so much "Flight time' to engage. You're damn near face2face w/the enemy upon spawning.

3-interface-You'll find the new things as they are front/center. Things not noted.During Match,after death of a aircraft,You'll see at the bottom a "Score' update. It'll tell you,in boxes w/graphics, Your Kills,teamkills,ground units killed,etc,per aircraft. These are a pain in the butt,personally.

yes there's new tanks/airframes and serious changes to a few of the American aircraft that WILL effect handling. Wondering how the F4U series did so well vs japanese airframes?Now You'll see it reflected appropriately. Corsairs cannot turn a full 360 w/Zeros-Spittys,but in first 1/2 of turn,they can and in fact,turn tighter. This is the "Dumping' effect change noted in the change-log. I could explain it,but it'd be better if You googled/found ur own info so You can understand it

The A7M1 (NK9H) is currently seal clubbing... It's extremely good turning, climbing (energy retention) and diving. At 3.3 it's overpowered. Beware.

Clubbing with it in RB atm. Not sure how it is in SB and AB.

So any immediate reactions to the changes? A lot of people on other forums are complaining about ground forces being ruined with the spotting etc but those forums always seemed to be filled with negativity (like reddit war thunder) so would love to hear a reasonable reaction to the update.

Good to know i'm not the only one having to suffer through this massive download with an incredible inaccurate ETA that shifts from 3 hours to 642 days. I guess Ill see you all in game grinding to get all the new goodies.
