How has ARK progressed since release? I tried getting into it a few months back but it was pretty rough with dino AI and such?

It's a pretty smooth game at this point, we run our own dedicated host that's currently at 20% utilization for memory and CPU so no lag other than whats built into the game through coding. The worst lag is world saves every 30 on our server and that's because the game is coded to shut off all processing of the game for a fraction while it saves which causes the save lag. They've addressed multiple performance issues and will get to this one as well before the launch in June 2016.
Our modded server has some good content to make the game play smooth and not as grindy.
