Icon12 need suggestions on buying a gaming headset.

Hey brothers and sisters in arms, I am currently looking for a gaming headset to play bf4 with. I keep hearing good reviews about the hyperX cloud 2 headsets. I just want to make sure I review all my options before I commit to these. If anyone has any other suggestions on this topic, for the $100-$150 price range please let me know. I'll be sure to check out all recommendations before making my decision. Thanks brothers and sisters and have a merry Christmas and happy new years !!! :D

Hyper x cloud Is or IIs. It's the best bang for your buck headset. I have the IIs and have had several members get clouds on my recommendation. They all love em.

I love my Logitech G35's. The 3 buttons on em can come in handy for some functions, and they are rectangular, so they fit a little better than most round headsets. Or, at least better than the Kraken Pro's I used to have. They also have a LONG cable, and it's braided, so it's gonna last. AND on top of all of that it has simulated 7.1 Surround, so you can hear where stuff is coming from, and going to.

There are a ton of good reviews on these headsets. Good sound quality and a good mic as well. Can't go wrong with them.

All I can say is stay away from Razer. HyperX and Sennheiser I have both had success with. Just bought a Razer Kraken Pro and I have never been more disappointed.

I had a pair of the razer tiamat 7.1's. Decent mic audio but the headphones provide flat audio and little bass. The surround sound is a gimmick for marketing. Getting a decent set of headphones and plugging them into a good sound card will get you much better audio and surround sound. The sound blaster z series cards simulate surround sound quite well even on stereo headphones.

I second this guy with one caveat: The wireless function works on 2.4ghz, which is the same as wifi, so if you are in an area saturated with wireless signals like my apartment complex is, you will encounter noticeable interference.

But what if your wifi is on 5GHz? Shouldn't have any interference then.

To the OP: Do you have a nice soundcard or are you using onboard audio? If you have a soundcard you will probably want to avoid USB headsets so you don't put the card to waste.
