Just as the title says any out there if so what's the buzz? Haven't really RTS since generals.

I'm all about the Total War series. Attila and Rome 2 are fantastic and I play them all the time. Can't knock off the HD version of Age of Empires II or Rise of Nations either
I do enjoy RTS games but good ones are very rare these days, tho I still have all the warhammer 40k ones installed :D

Do enjoy me some 40k, that new one based in space looks good.
Warhammer Gothic Armada or something like that
Damn I forgot about that one. 😮
It has potential but I'm still apprehensive about whether it'll turn out well.
Gray goo is decent but nothing spectacular, if you're looking for one to try. ☺

Do love me some 40k. Winter Assault and Dark Crusade.
No love for soulstorm? 😉

Total War Arena is... interesting. It's not particularly great, but I look forward to when they have proper clan based matchmaking into the game.
Arena looks good (i do enjoy the total war series) but i don't really enjoy multiplayer RTS.
That said however, it would probably be a good game for a misc division. (Most likely not full)
Act of Aggression
Team pushing for it to be spiritual successor to generals. That is what I've been told. I haven't played the game.
Has the META evolved at all to be more in line with the clan? vice 1-8 people randomly hot-dropping on each other and battling it out with small bits of chat to each other?
Those that I would most consider installing are the star trek and the warhammer 40k one.
And maybe the star wars one.

Last RTS I played seriously was the generals series. After that I feel the C&C series as a whole slipped down hill.
I especially loved the red alert games, and a generals style red alert would've been "shut up and take my money" but alas, got a little too cartoony for my liking.

The Total War games are pretty good, game play wise Attila is the better one (it's a lot more polished and the game mechanics and overall HUD are better) however I prefer Rome 2 (I like the setting, cultures and units better). I waiting for Total War Warhammer coming out :D.
I've dabbled in the RTS genre before, my favorite games being Age of Empires 2 and Rise of Nations. I'm not that good at them but I do love to play them.
