Default Looking to get a second monitor

Hey everyone, looking to get a second monitor. Currently have a 24" asus vg248 144hz and I think I may buy another (unless someone has a better one for a similar price of $250). How exactly do I set up the two of them? I also am assuming my 980ti will be able to handle 2 monitors.

If they're 1080p (I'm assuming they are from the price) your 980ti should be perfectly fine

I would suggest getting a second of what you have if you're happy with it, but I'm OCD and need everything to match lol

Setting them up is very easy and found in the nVidia control panel

The 980 Ti will handle two of them perfectly fine.

I run one 27" Asus PG279Q @ 165hz and 1440p (with G-Sync enabled) and my second monitor is the 27" Asus MG279Q @ 144hz and 1440p. Never run into any issues.

You can use the nVIDIA Control Panel to make sure everything is set up correctly. And I second the bit about being OCD and needing the two to at least be the same size ;)

There isn't really much to setting up a second monitor. Just plug them both into your card, and then do any software management you need to.

I ran Dual Monitor (1080p and 900p) on a GTX 560. A GTX 980Ti should run Dual 1080p like a dream. The 980Ti is almost powerful enough on it's own to run 1 4K monitor setup. But not quite.

4K will run at 30-40 FPS depending on the settings and the game

I won't be getting a 4K monitor until prices go down. Too expensive for them now.

Like everyone else has said, your 980 Ti will handle two monitors at 1080p without issue. Personally, I would say buy a second of what you already have. If you're dead set on a different monitor, I recommend a Dell U2415. I have one for my gaming setup and one for my office setup. Excellent color and calibration out of the box. It has adjustable height, pitch, and rotation. It is also 16:10 (1900x1200) aspect ratio which I find better for web browsing. Average price is between $250-300.
