My friend has Gigabyte Windforce, and he's really happy with it. It has 3 fans, and generally more and bigger fans = quiet.
I use an MSI 970 because of the design and the fans turn off when not needed (silent). Also MSI usually bundle games with the 970. I got Rainbow Six Seige, and right now you can get The Division
I was told that EVGA SSC 970 was a good card can play game in ultra mode in new game the divison, But which version of EVGA is the best of 970 EVGA ACX 2.0 FTW ?
Will Be upgrading to evga 970 in a few weeks once i get the monies had ati 7850HD that can barly play the game i keep falling threw the map i had to overclock my vidcard to keep up.
I always go EVGA, never had any problems and love the performance

I always buy EVGA because of their warranty. 3 years and you are allowed to take off the stock cooler and use an aftermarket option instead. They have amazing customer service also

I also have always gone with EVGA, if you're looking to get longevity out of your card maybe go for the water cooled version (not sure if they have one) or if you may be upgrading in a year or two just go with something on the lower end. Either way EVGA makes great cards.

I have the MSI OC edition. Bought it during the Christmas sale on Newegg. It has worked great for me. I haven't run into any games that I've had to turn down settings for yet. I'ts a great card, and I highly recommend it.
Gigabyte cards are definitely the biggest ones out there.
