    Default FPS monitor

I'm thinking on buying a new monitor, so far these are my options:

    http://www.amazon.com/Asus-VG248QE-2...s=ASUS+VG248QE

    http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-RL2455HM-...=BenQ+RL2455HM

    https://www.amazon.com.mx/BenQ-RL275...ywords=monitor

I'm also planning on doing a double/triple monitor setup (but only gaming in only 1 of them)

And of course, I'm looking for a monitor useful in FPS like Doom, Unreal Tournament or Quake Arena.

Finally, that is not very expensive, something between 150USD and 450USD.

    Thanks in advance.

P.S Any grammatical error please let me know.

I own the Asus VG248QE, and it rocks. If you have the money for it, try to get a GSync/FreeSync monitor to make it even better. I play UT4 on my VG248QE and it looks gorgeous at 144 FPS.

    Get this one http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-XL2411Z-M...s=BenQ+monitor

I used to own it before I dropped it. 144HZ you'll be creaming.

I would definitely advise getting a g-sync/free-sync monitor. Makes FPS drops way less apparent.

Awesome monitor, IPS, G SYNC!!! 1440p 144hz stock, easily OCable to 165Hz 27inch. New its $800... but there are used options there for under $450.
if you have the GPU power its defo worth it.
dont worry about buying used, i bought my 4k monitor used for 400 USD vs 600 USD and its perfect, there is just the tiniest scratch on the side of the box.
though obviously only really for a nvidia user....

The panel isn't IPS. It actually can't be IPS, as within current IPS technology, you can only get 60hz. Unless i'm mistaken, and something has changed about IPS.

    You're mistaken ;)

I own both the Asus ROG PG279Q (G-Sync at 165hz) and the Asus MG278Q (FreeSync at 144hz). Both are IPS panels.

The first generation G-Sync model (PG278Q) was a TN panel at 144hz.

yeah tymplar is right, when i built this computer i was really torn between the PG278Q and an acer 4k G sync 60hz 1ms monitor :P
i wish i had waited for the PG279Q now... :(
and the PG2979Q has an input lag of 4ms rather than 1 ms for the original :)
