The sky is falling!!
Teamspeak is back up now.
Yep, confirmed up again.
For your awareness and peace of mind, our TeamSpeak outage was not an attempt to interrupt AOD specifically as is typically rumored. We were a casualty of a broad attack and NFO offloaded upstream, but that takes a little time to be fully effective.
Wow That Post had no useful information... Well I guess it has a little info,,,, But Between The forced use of team speak and mandatory text posts I am considering leaving, I hope this counts as my post for the month, Great people.... Tons unnecessary forced Bull Poop....
TS is a vital part of AOD. Kid made the post so tons of people don't post "TS is down" posts to show admins are aware. Also, you read the rules when you were inducted, you could had backed out then. We understand though that AOD isn't everyone's cup of tea. If you do leave, thanks for playing with us.
The reason we enforce that you must be on teamspeak is because we are a vocal community. This is made abundantly clear during recruitment.
Also we understand that people won't always want to be on teamspeak which is why we have the quiet room. Now if your thinking "then why do I need to be on teamspeak if my only intention is to sit in the quiet room?" This is because we need you on teamspeak in the case we need to get in contact with you.
Now regarding the forums, I won't speak for all divisions as we all work differently.
The reason we need people to post on the forums is so we can keep track on who is still round. Doing this on the forums gives us easy access to this information and keeps it in one place. For example, PS2 may have a really good anti idle system that works better than the forums, but warframes clan management is awful. So we would use the forums and PS2 wouldn't. This isn't productive as it leaves an inconsistency in the way we do things.
The forums keep everything in the same place and allow MSgts+ to monitor a divisions activity without having an account in each game to check the AOD clan. Because I know for a fact that that this would take forever for warframe alone.
This system saves many officers possibly hours of time because of how we currently do it. To change it mean making many officers jobs a lot more time consuming for the sake of you not having to post in a forum once a month. So this system isn't going to changed in this way.
I hope this clears things up for you. If you still decide to leave then good luck on wherever life takes you.

That explanation is very well put!
I play World of Warships and would like to join AoD. I registered etc. How can I join TS?
(I sent the above guy a PM in case anyone is wondering :) )
Don't mean to beat a dead horse but I was told almost to a t what was said here when I joined, it pretty much says this in multiple posts so there is no confusion as to what the policy's are. for me if I don't want to talk to anyone on TS I go to the quite room, was told that was what it was for, also posting on the forums is not a chore IMO, there are plenty of places where you can do a quick post, count to 30000, ban the person above you, true or false (not a selfish plug in anyway ) . But like what was said before AOD is not for everybody. Don't want to see Digital leave but if he does hope everything works out for him
I played PS2 with AOD for a while but haven't been on that game in a long time. I'd like to play War Thunder with you guys now though, so do I need to re-apply to that division? Would someone mind giving me the teamspeak address (lost it :( )?
I know this is an old post, but good to know what was going on the other day, ty sir!
oh no!
I am getting error when trying to log onto teamspeak this morning
