    Default Nvidia GTX 1080 Benchmarks.

compare with your own to see if it is worth the upgrade for you guys.

EVGA SC ACX 3.0 runs at full tilt in VR at 65c. Got a good enough OC on it.

Mine gets around 19,4XX on basic firestrike Have a MSI gaming x. Honestly any of the 1080's founders or not are capable of the same OC speeds within the norm. Some of the unicorns I saw were upwards of 2150 overclocks. Additional power hasn't helped them out much so for anyone looking just get the one you want. I burn 1440p and keep well over 120 frames. What also helps is CPU for firestrike, I have a 6700k @ 4.5 could go more but a 5960x overclocked was getting 23k in the same benchmark.

That being said, your mileage will vary depending on cpu and other system variables. Gaming? Not so much because they are worlds apart from benchmarks.

agreed 100%. I actually downclock my OC on my 4930k to 4.25 in summer time from 4.5 just because it is hot as f out.

Here is mine. Running the GTX 1080 Founders Edition at all base clocks so I expected it to be a little lower on the score:

    http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/12971133

I had the fan cranked up to 100% to see if it would combat any thermal throttling and I didn't catch any dips and the temperature stayed at around 60 degrees Celsius.

Going to tinker around with upping the clocks while still running it on air and keeping the fan at 100%. Surprisingly enough, at least in my opinion, the reference cooler on this card is quieter than my 980 Ti ACX 2.0 when cranked up to 100%. I am guessing it may just be the nature of the fans (and this is the first kind of card I've ever used that was a reference model and had a cooler like this).

How does the ACX 3.0 sound at full tilt?

May see if any CPU upticks via OC have any impact as well :)

This will be a good reference to go back to once I get around to running everything on a fully custom loop.

Ah...just was comparing the results and saw that your tests were running at 1920x1080 vs. mine at 2560x1440 :)

Out of curiosity, what kind of monitor are you running on? Asking because of refresh rate playing into that as well. The display I ran the test on was running a native 165 Hz refresh rate.

    I have the X34 ( 3440 x 1440 100hz )

    here is my 2560 x 1440 score http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8843390

the ACX is awesome ... no coil whine ( shocking my 980ti had a slight whine at some points ) and it runs soooo much cooler. With my custom fan curve everything runs nice it is at 65c on load and 60 on the fan speed :)

I would only get founders if I was gonna SLI or water em.
