Android Emulators ?

Anyone use any android emulators?

I just started looking into them and found this link - Best 8 Emulators.

I am not looking to game or anything on it, I just want something for the Steam Mobile Authenticator and that is it; I also want a free one as well.

Based off of what I heard and the link's list, I am thinking either Leapdroid or Bluestacks.

I simply connect my ASUS Zenfone 2 through PC-Link and control my phone with mouse and keyboard. You can also set full screen if you like

I've used bluestacks in the past, it works well.

I went with bluestacks, but steam isn't taking VOIP numbers.

I did a search and found some youtube vids of how to get the steam mobile auth without a real phone.
They suggested using receive-a-sms.com or textnow.com.
Textnow assigns each account a phone number, but I saw some youtube replies who said if you don't send out messages often, they may take your number away, and the sms.com seems like it changes it's numbers often itself.
Either way, I did try to use numbers from both, both came up as steam wont use VOIP numbers.

Just wondering if anyone knows of another method, without a real phone of course, for getting steam mobile authenticator to work on a PC?

For what its worth, winauth can run the steam authenticator for you. It can also do the battle.net authentication and pretty much any TOTP authenticator that you can run out of the Google Authenticator app. I use it myself for Steam and Battle.net while being able to have the phone apps as well.

BTW, unless you have root access to your phone or know how to run and inspect backups through ADB, you need to regenerate the Steam authenticator.

Well I don't have a smart phone, which should be the major point of doing this, and I have never heard of ADB, or done anything with backups at all; so what do you suggest?
