Default Just got Overwatch. Any advice/tips?

I mostly understand the game already (The types of heroes, ultimates, a few of the counters, etc) and have gotten sick of the TF2 Devs (4 to be exact) who continue to mess up a game they themselves haven't even played. But if anything experience from TF2 certainly helps in Overwatch, right?

Also I hear Soldier 76 is the best for getting the feel of the game. IMO McCree looks like the one I would like to main because of the character himself and his abilities.

We have a few threads on tips for some heros i think, And honestly, i wouldn't recommend Mcree since he requires really accurate aim for pin point headshots

I would say just try each hero, it's the only real way to figure out what you are going to enjoy most.

Best advice I can give.. Don't underestimate the practice range with the boring little robots, seriously 10-20mins in there before you get into gameplay really helps, especially for getting headshots and sniper practice. It's also helpful for somewhat learning each heroes abilities and ults and what they do plus the timing on them etc. for example D.va's self destruct, it can be used a few ways but use it in conjunction with a Zarya/Rein/Mei ult.. it becomes deadly especially if you're lucky enough to trap the whole team :D

    My advice :)

Choose what role do you like the most: tank, dps, or heal. After that see what heroes are in the meta for your role and play the **** out of them :) gl

If you hear angry Japanese, START RUNNING! But in all seriousness get yourself familiar with what the sounds of each ult is for your team and the enemy team (Friendly heroes will say different things than an enemy of the same hero so you can distinguish whether to be scared or not). If you have absolutely any questions about anything in the game, I'd be more then glad to help - IkillU#11741
