Twitter is cancer. Unless you get a kick out of social media cancer don't do it

Plenty of us use twitter. It's a great way for AOD to increase popularity of servers (ex: when DICE people join our servers).

I just recently started using it and find it helpful to get new updates regarding tech stuff.
Y'all got any more of them shirtguns?

Think of Twitter as text messaging to the world. If you like reading other people's text messages then make an account and follow people you think may have something interesting to say. If you think people will want to hear what you have to say make an account and start tweeting. If you follow right type of people it can be a very good news headline tracker, if you follow the wrong people it can be a "Why the f**k do I care?" Head smashing experience. How you use Twitter will make it a good experience or not.

I have a great experience with Twitter. As kathbris said, follow the right people and you will have the experience you're looking for.

I'll say this. I was not a fan of social media in most forms, but Twitter has been a door opener for this division as well as myself.

I started Twitter before our first event with DICE developers. Pushing out the follow on information was what got us noted by EA. We already knew DICE LA, but that connection made us more relevant.

Fast forward a bit, and I became friends with our NA Battlefield Manager and Global Community Manager from EA. Pushing information, having conversations, bullshitting about nothing... All fun stuff but ultimately superficial on social media.

Then the Community managers flew me to London for the premier of the BF1 trailer. I found out that I was a member of their Game Changers and Influencers program - I had no idea. They then flew me out to LA for the live stream, a closed alpha capture day and GameChangers workshop.

I've hung out with Titans of the community and rock stars. I've drank gallons of beer with big wigs at EA and folks like the Battlefield Friends.

Those are opportunities that I've been fortunate enough to have. And I had them, and we've benefited here in the Division from them, in large part because of Twitter.

The community knew who we were before, but now we are a fixture in that community. So if you want to know if Twitter is worth having, then I'd say yes. Sign up, follow @officialclanaod and follow all of your AOD pals, and you'll only assist our AOD branding endeavor - you'll also find plenty of other non-AOD uses too ;).
