    Default MB2 Lag

So after a few hours running wireshark and various other networking monitoring tools I found that UPnP on my router was causing issues with Mb2. UPnP stands for Universal Plug and Play - for those that don't know. What this does is automatically try and sync with other devices on your network for files sharing, printing etc. (Its also what allows your PC to automatically detect things like new monitors, mouse, keyboards etc...but we talking about routers) What was happening is that it was sending sync broadcasts out to my network every few seconds causing me to over utilize my bandwidth over my 2.4ghz Wifi.

This may not be a problem for some of you, but if you are like me and have like 15-20 devices on our Wireless network at all times you may be seeing some performance issues here. I'd recommend checking your router to see if this option is available and turn it off - see if it gives you any better performance, if not then...I guess good for you.

    Regards,
    Nith

Edit: If you are directly connected to your router via cat5/6 this wont be an issue.

I myself have many devices connected @ once (my parents have an office upstairs, etc) and have noticed no lag issues minus the occassional spike. Could this be dependant on the provider? (I know you're pretty experienced with devices/technical support)

    P.S nice 'mini-tutorial'
