Clans are now a part of WoWs officially, with 30 slots as of the start per group, with "Teams" still an independent thing.


I have reserved our name of "AAPDA" / the above as promised, with existing officers for games freely invited to hold executive positions and all AOD members given at least starting primary placements.


Per the 'rules' AAPDA is not "Officially" owned under the name of AOD to prevent conflicts, but being a contributing AOD member it obviously holds associations to our benefits. If it works out, we may well do well to open an official 'competitive' AOD group to be owned by Silencer or another leading officer.


For now, AAPDA is "AP'd" to serve as a 'fun group' for AOD and associated members that have played or wish to start playing World of Warships when not in their main games, or that simply are looking for a fun secondary.

It's an ''official/unofficial'' clan group for WoWs for those that want to play it, in accordance with the 'rules.'

(ie, does not have AOD in the title.) And for those that do play the game it is free to join, with enough people joining in maybe restarting an official support for it.


So yeah, I'm putting out an invite to players wanting to play as a group in WoWs on the side, and if it gets enough support we might can do more with it.
otherwise it'll stay a fun extra under "misc games'' with in-game coms being not that bad for platooning.
(we are free to create self-owned groups in games we play that are not "official" aod games after all, so long as we work with people that want us to.)


You interested in joining in with it? Like said, it would be nice to have some experienced support if they want to.

I've already paid the gold for it, so just needs the support at this point and members if they want it. I'll be working with those in charge to make sure it gets done right obviously.

I'm new to this and don't want to step on anyone's toes. Hoping it all goes good and if nothing else it's all just for fun on the side to further the feeling of ''community.''


I'll also use private chat sections for anything further. Just wanted to let ppl know I am wanting to do a good thing for our groups that want it, and means nothing for those that don't want it so it is balanced for those that want it.

Seeing as how World of Warships kind of dropped off in activity along with the Wargaming division, I think his intention was more to have it as a game on the side for AOD members to play like we do with other games that aren't supported or in trial(Starcraft, heroes of the storm, etc). I've seen a lot of posts for interest in the game but I'm not sure how well a full blown trial would work realistically, although in the Wargaming division most resources were put towards tanks so maybe it would be different, especially after updates between then and now. Just my two cents. :p

ok, that is kinda funny as when I put the name into the game on payment, it didn't read my inputs correctly leaving out one of the "Ls" in Alliance.......

Ticket was sent in, and is getting things fixed. HOPEFULLY it gets done right...... they were good in getting back with me.


and like said, before doing all that much with it I'll be looking to organize with whoever is open to work with me on making sure it all does right with the clan group so those of us that do WoWs can ''keep it in the [AOD] family'' as the saying goes, instead of needing to find other clans not owned by or in direct association with aod.


(no other details than the name and tag are in yet, so if people higher up want, they can put in the gold to have it all renamed to what they want rather easily.)
I'll give it a month or so for people to figure out what they seek to do and how they want to do it, having this group already set up as a testbed provided for.

*teams are doable for mere credits btw, and channels can be made for a larger united clan singularity as well if enough get involved for more clans.

Been a while....

If no one decides they want to do a WoWs/AOD group I might pass off the tags to a secondary account if I can make use of my 1st/old wot account.
I would rather "keep it in the family," but I do have pals from older groups I can pal with far as WoWs goes as others do with AW for now staying my main/AoD clan group.


If we are going to make use of the fact that WoWs is popular and we have a lot of people in the community that play it, we need to do something sooner more than later.
(again, many of us that do WoWs have already moved to other groups on that front since AoD isn't picking up on that front.)



I'll wait before I do anything as I wait for AW, as I grind my ships, but something needs said or decided about AoD having WoWs group support before much longer so we know if we who play WoWs should seek outside friend groups for that game.

"AAPDA, WoWs" fan/clan group for AoD now made for those that want a centralized place to meet up and hang outside of the game.


It's not much more than a place as of now to post in a discussion thread wot the WoWs tag you use is so we can add eachother in game.
I'll also make a channel in-game with a simple lock code "123457" or such so we can all chat in game even if not part of the same game clan.

It's a public group so to keep things simple. If any person that is a mod or an officer in games wants to be an admin/mod by all means.
