Im pretty set on building one
my father is still set on using a flip phone, so I totally understand! :-)
The only thing I would say is your 1060 is two revs behind the latest, I know there is a big cost difference, but you might compare the specs before you settle in.

Don't buy that Windows copy. All you really need to buy is just an Activation Key, which you can get as low as $30 for Windows 10 PRO.
Also, you can save some money by getting Samsung EVO instead of PRO. There is very little difference between EVO and PRO in performance but quite some difference in price.
1440p monitor for 1060p is a bit overkill. You should be looking for 1080p if you want to run all games on max settings and hitting 60+ FPS or get GTX 1070
Also, 3000 Mhz memory is unnecessary as it makes no noticeable difference to FPS. 2400 Mhz is just fine.
So, all in all here is a better build with GTX 1070 that will also match your build in color and best part not only it is better build but also $100 cheaper. Cheers.

You can get Windows here

Or here

All you need is to buy that Key and then Download Windows from Microsoft Website, create a bootable USB drive and you are good to go.

Meh, prebuilds don't look nice and are overpriced. Moreover, you can walk into any reputable PC store, find a sales rep and tell him "Hey dude, I need to build a custom PC! Please help me to find parts"
They will be more than happy to assist you picking out those parts and also put them for you together. Well at least here in Canada this works great.
you haven't seen the ibuypower prebuilds in Canada I would wager..

lol you've never bought an alien ;-) I spent 4800 on my alien... that's overpriced!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using Tapatalk
I never bought it because:
A) It's DELL and it sux
B) Cause it is overpriced
C) Proprietary crap parts
Besides my gaming rig I have MacBook Pro and MSI Gaming laptop that both are used for work. I could say that MacBook is overpriced but there are other values even though hardware specs are not that impressive for that price.
My MacBook pro is acting as my SIEM, my alien I've give to the kids as a guest pc, my surfacebook is what I work with, and the poweredge is acting as a shelf in the server rack next to the raspberry pi's. haha; I grabbed a second ibuypower a few months ago and very pleased with both; But computers are like underwear, what is comfortable for me.. well, you get it. :-)

Exactly, they are like underwear and they need to look classy and sexy. That is why I build custom PC that looks absolutely stunning and choose nicely designed laptops as well and all my peripherals. Like for example, today I picked up new headphones designed in collaboration with most awarded DJ in the world, Armin Van Buuren.
http://www.usa.philips.com/c-p/A5PRO...-dj-headphones
They are perfect and sturdy build. There are no plastic parts. All frame is lightweight metal and head cushion is genuine leather with nice stitching that gives that retro style that I absolutely love it.
Lol okay, you win; I have ugly underwear, but they can handle all the junk I throw at them, and I don't mind paying a little extra to have someone stitch them together for me.
I'm talking about computers of course... or am I...

I'm sure they can handle anything you throw at them. But having something custom built is something that makes that thing so personal. It's like a state of art. You put your efforts in looking for parts, matching them so they look nice and when finally you are done, you are pleased with your art work and can enjoy it every day. And that moment when you are building it is so memorable. I remember when I picked some parts at the store, the sales rep asked me: "would you like us to put it together for you?" I said: "are you kidding? You want to take that fun away from me? Thanks but no thanks!"
Understood; I was like that twenty years ago; now I'd rather have someone else do the work. I did recently put my raspberrypi's in their hard plastic shell though... ;-)

If you are building brand spanking new, this is what i'd build. A lot of the components you chose were overpriced as hell, like the Corsair Vengeance LED RAM kit. If you want LED's for your build, get a cheap 20 USD LED kit that has an IR Reciever and a Remote, It's cheaper and more effective. Also the Monitor you picked would have been a garbage monitor for Gaming. The Asus VG248QE might not be 1440p, but It is 144hz, which at 1080p on Ultra the 1070 + 7600k would be able to play at 144 FPS in most games. I threw in the upgrade to Kabylake and Z270 so that you'd have the most up-to date CPU, it affords you Overclocking headroom to about 5.0 Ghz on that Corsair cooler. And I changed the case so you didn't have that gaudy looking thing to stare at all day, the NZXT S340 Elite is a gorgeous Tempered Glass case, and has tons of Liquid Cooling room.
NZXT S340 is too small for that cooler. I barely fit in my H110i into my NZXT h440, which is a bit bigger case. I would go with h440 for this build, it looks nicer too.
Btw, Western Digital is not as reliable as Seagate drives and Seagate is not as reliable as HGST drives.
Here is a great website that collects data from Data centers:
https://www.backblaze.com/blog/hard-...stats-q1-2016/
From my personal 20 years of experience in building and working with PCs and as well as working as Sys Admin, I can confirm that those stats are accurate. I personally have a couple WD dead drives lying around at home, while I did not ever have problems with Seagate in 20 years.

I'd also say go with the 7xxxK series processor. Its the newest gen out currently and overclocks well.
