I half expected some MLG air horns to go off after the RGB stock fan mention.

According to Seeking Alpha there was an intel/amd teamup planned. Looks like with the announcement of the Ryzen, that idea is out the window. Guess I'll be having Amd on my Stocks watchlist.
But how much can it bench?
I want to see how the three of them run games and how they overclock. That will make or break the Ryzen 7 cpu lineup.
In Linus video it shows some games running Intel vs AMD.
The AMD is performing better in BF1. Moreover, 8 cores gives a huge difference if you are a Streamer. He showed that streaming and gaming is much smoother on AMD.
I would like to see the benchmarks when Ryzen gets into hands of reviewers.
Hopefully the competition will bring back the performance advancement. I've still got my 2011 era CPU and it is only a few % worse than current gen offerings. Hopefully this will speed up the advancements again.
AMD Ryzen 7 is already available for pre-order in some stores.
Just checked Canada Computers:

I'm already strongly considering to replace motherboard and the CPU instead of upgrading to i7 7700k from my i5 6600k. Will wait for more benchmarks.
The Ryzen 5 1600X handly beats out the i5-7600k by 69% at only 15-20 USD more.

1600X beats out the 6850k in single threaded AND multi-threaded benchmarks and tests.

Here are four links saying Cannonlake is coming out 2017. So yes, there is "evidence" to suggest that Cannonlake is coming out 2017.

Well the latest news suggest that instead of launching Cannon Lake there will be Coffee Lake first, which is rumored to be released in second half of 2017. It's still going to be based on 14nm.

Like I said, there is no evidence that Cannon Lake will be seen in 2017. Only rumors.
so excited for ryzen....glad my credit card limit went up!
I'm not sure about all this, I really want to see it work but I doubt it. Intel had the market for over 20 years now.... 20 years says something
