Icon4 Good Video Editing Apps or Software?

Does anyone know any good video editing software or apps? I'm interested in doing voice over and imaging overlays.

Sony Vegas Pro is pretty good.

Mac or Windows? Adobe Premier Pro is nice. A copy of the old school Windows Movie Maker can do the job as well :)

Irfanview has been my go-to swiss army knife for quick an dirty image manipulation for years. It's lite on processor/ram usage so it loads immediately, extensible with plugins, and free. Not quite what you're asking for, for video work, but it's so useful that I had to suggest it.

I use Adobe CS6 Master Collection-mainly After Effects and Premier Pro. I have Sony Vegas but I can't stand the lag I get in the preview window vs Premier Pro, but Sony Vegas does a better job at showing wave forms for audio, so I like to splice up audio in Vegas, then move to Premier Pro.

If you don't want to spend hours learning how to use the editor, Filmora is the best editor I've found for under $50. Does many things and is very easy to use, it does all the work for you. It's very noob friendly. They have a free trial as well, so you can try before you buy.

Honestly, Premiere or FCPX. If you want a very large learning curve, go with FCPX. If you want to be baffled but have infinite features and a very very sharp learning curve, premiere.

Source: Have used Premiere, FCPX, and Vegas Pro.
