================================================== ===============
What: DICE LA Developers (and maybe our EA Community Manager) will be gaming with AOD members in a private setting for the 4.5th time!.
When: Friday, March 3rd, 9:00pm ET-Until Complete
Where: Our 64-man server, our TeamSpeak
Who: The Devs and You, as long as you R/U here.
Ok folks, Friday. March 3rd at 9:00pm ET we will be locking (if possible) one of our Battlefield 1 64s so that we can game with the Developers from DICE. This is a big deal. They've been playing on our servers, assisting us with starting them during the mornings or early afternoons, and generally like to PTFO. Because of this community relationship that we have built, I want to make sure there are some ground rules and operating etiquette established before hand.
Therefore, you MUST R/U this thread (after honestly Reading and Understanding), or you will not be allowed access into the event. There is no TL/DR. Read it. So without further ado, here is what we want you to understand going into this event:
- We invited these DICE folks to come and play with us, and they accepted our invitation. They are our guests.
- They should be treated with the respect commensurate of a VIP - they are.
- They are here to play games, blow shit up, and have a good time.
- They enjoy PTFOing (they created a game based on that concept), so PTFO with them!
Things you will not be doing which are cause for removal from the event (at the very least) - This is your warning:
- Don't ask them dev questions: "Hey why no more BF4 DLC? Why is the bullet spread of XXX so broken?" That's not why they are here.
- Don't complain about the game: "OMFG netcode is SO broken". They are acutely aware of the opinions of the community. Lets not insult the guests we invite.
- Don't ask them questions about OTHER games: "Hey what happened with Hardline?" "What is the next Battlefield?" These guys are here for BF1.
- Don't act like an asshat in general: Don't scream in chat, don't talk over people, and don't ramble on. Lots of people in the chat, so be respectful.
Things you should do as much as humanly possible:
- Squad up with them! They love playing with the community.
- Talk to them in squad!
- Blow shit up.
- PTFO.
- Have fun. That's the most important thing here.
This event will be first come, first served. We will make every opportunity to include members should we have a full server. NCOs have volunteered to step aside should that be the case. We're doing this for us as a division. The password for the server and the teamspeak channel will not be given until R/Us have been verified.
Direct questions about this to the XOs.
And like you all, I can't wait..
