Omg rlly late in the race there was a gt3 ghosting on me and it was so bad that I was able to overtake him while he was invisible. I thought for sure he would reappear inside me and destroy my car

    A Team post-race report:
    Drivers: AOD_Mystic, AOD_Frosty
    Finishing Position: 1st

I qualified our car with the 19th fastest time of everyone who attended Saturdays event. For our split (3rd split), this put us on the front row, P2, for the start of the race. Once the green flag was dropped we were immediately demoted to 3rd place as MSP-DRIVERS HOME 46 took the inside line for turn 1. MSP soon made their way to P1 and led about 90% of the first stint(stint=fuel run). Mystic, who started the car, made it past P2, Tetre Rouge Racing, who started the race on pole(P1) before our first stint was over.

One of the main things endurance teams look for is how long other competitors tires and fuel lasts for. Fuel runs were about the same for every Daytona Prototype. We ran the average 26 laps for 1 fuel run with the occasional 27th lap if we were to save fuel during our stint. One team however, Tetre Rouge, were surprisingly able to consistently complete 2-3 laps more than everyone else on fuel runs. This led us to believe that they were running a low downforce setup, which means they were able to take less fuel in the end, but had to drive slower as a consequence. This can be massive as a fuel strategy like this can save a team a full pit stop (~45-55seconds) over a 12 hour race duration. The other key factor was tires. A new tire model was released only 3 days before Saturdays event. One of our drivers, AOD matte, struck gold after testing for multiple hours deciding which new tire pressures will hold up for the race. Changing tire pressures in the drastic measure that we did meant for an almost complete overhaul of our setup. Such an overhaul that we made our final setup change just 15minutes before we gridded for the event. Throughout the first stint we noticed that MSP-DRIVERS HOME didnt do their homework and were having tire problems. Their tires would start out great but would quickly fade after about 12 laps into their stint. Our tires, however, had a very smooth decline over the 26lap runs, which made us catch the leaders very quickly. MSP sensed our arrival which made them push a lot harder than they intended. This led to them 'crabbing' back to the pits, in desperate need of repair, after overshooting the last turn. First place was soon given to us and we ran, incident free, for the remainder of the race.

Mystic and I would complete 3 stints (~2.25hours) before handing the car over to eachother. In the end this led to a grand total of 368 laps (342 laps in the lead) putting every car on track at least 1 lap down, with Mystic completing 213, and Frosty completing 155 laps. This put us at an overall 14th place in the points for everyone who attened Saturdays race. (Photos of the car will be released shortly)

Amazing work!, Everyone involved dug in and helped each other on and off the track - The win by the a car is a testament to the dedication that remains high and consistant in our team, to all involved - awesome work

"B"ro team after action report - Start 13th Finish 13th

After many hours of testing between both the A and B team after the new Tire model came out, matt went all in and found a winner. Just so happens that winner worked for the A team and was working for the B team. The start of the race was actually good for us. Was the first time for the B team in several races that we had no one hit us for the first lap or two. Things went smoothly as we jumped a few spots in the first 10 laps. I had started the race and was feeling good till we came up to traffic. I miscalculated going around a GT3 car and clipped him spinning me out into the grass. This had me wait for an eternity to get back safely on track. Over the next stint and half I climbed back some spots and came into the pits with only a bit of optional repairs. It was at this time the ever steady and smooth vasa placed his white, blue and yellow helmet on and jumped in the car.

Vasa quickly jumped in the car and brought us up to speed completing many laps at great pace in traffic and we are making ground on the positions lost. The iceman of AOD racing had an excellent showing for the day. After his two stints it was now time for our new Bro to enter the fray. Matt the bullet from another mother climbed into the car without his race suit on as to save some weight. Matt flew around the track just off pace with the A team for lap times. The combo of Vasa and Matt brought us back up into 6th place!!! We had a few offs and spins but no serious damage. Matt brought the car back in and time for myself to get back in the car.

Now I do not know if it was the waffles I had or the extra red bull but shit went down hill soon as I jumped in the car. The first part of my next stint went flawless. Making up time catching up to 5th and running down traffic and being very aggressive to gain back the time lost from my first spin. The later part of my stint is where it went down hill. Some clown whom shall remain nameless but sounds a lot like Stacy in some languages was a Gt3 BMW back marker that was on average 10 seconds off pace with the rest of the GT3 grid. Was a mess all over the track with both the A team and the B team. After hours of racing we knew who the moving cones are and I knew in my head I should take this turn better. I slow up a bit expecting him to run wide on the turn like every other gt3 driver had been doing for 6 hours. Soon enough this BMW decide to brake mid turn and slow down 20 mph and cut IN on the turn. Even though I should have known better I slammed my car into the back of him resulting in a meatball flag. This gave us about 9 minutes of total repairs sending us to 6 laps down on the A team and 1-4 laps down on the rest of the field. I was pretty pissed for such a bone head move on both parties.

After my rage Matt got in the car put his head down and ran some AMAZING laps to get us back into the top 15 again. With a few offs and spins here and there he was making some great times. The Stage 2 S4 daily driver was cooking like Giada de laurentiis on the Cooking network. Slicing and dicing in and out of traffic. After his 2 fairly clean stints it was time for the iceman vasa to get back in the car. Vasa quickly go up to speed again and pulled out some great laps again passing the lapped traffic like water off a freshly waxed car. They both had a few spins and offs here and there but nothing major. With minimal fuss we made it back into 13th place. At this point Vasa and myself rotated stints and maintained that pace for the rest of the race. With a few small knocks and spins we came home in 13th.

Overall it was another great time with the "B"ro team and I am glad we got to have another fun race together. I am super pissed at myself for fucking a potential top 5 finish for the first time with our team.

Special thanks to Matt for the setup and laughing at every clown in the race. Vasa for keeping it real and support as always.

Congrats to Mystic and Frosty on first was fun to be in the same race for once !!! Shame we never got to use any team tactics cuz I fucked a BMW in the rear.

Till next time - Erock out

First off it was 3rd... not 10th. Second, I just didnt shit or eat food. Got hungry around 4 hours in so just filled up on water. Thankfully bathroom is close so I only lost 10 seconds every 3rd pit when I took a piss.
