Have to start somewhere! What program did you end up using Kalle? I would suggest using a program called GIMP if you aren't already, mimics a lot of what Photoshop has to offer, and plenty of tutorials out there to choose from.

GIMP is really good if you cannot get a copy of Photoshop. Can do a lot of the same functions.

I agree -- everyone has to start somewhere! Just keep at it. If you do not have a means of obtaining Photoshop, then I recommend GIMP and Pixlr. I've never used GIMP so I do not know its full set of features, but I do know that many of my friends have used it and recommend it. I started my graphic design with Pixlr, which contains many of the same basic (and even some advanced) features as Photoshop.
