WannaCry Ransomware

I have not seen any posts about the WannaCry Ransom ware that has been hitting many large institutions and encrypting there data. This Ransom ware is a worm which means that you do not need to run anything on your computer in order to get this virus; so if it happens to get over to the side of the internet that you are on, your computer could get this as well. Microsoft has pushed a patch for this exploit for Windows 7, 8, and 10 but this will not help computers that have all ready been infected. Make sure that you run all the updates for your version of windows.

I've been worried about it a bit myself, but it seems as though they are mostly targeting large organizations. Apparently Comodo CIS is able to stop it, so anyone needing free security would be wise to use it.

Appears that it's a flaw in computers running Windows XP ... those with a newer OS ( apparently ) shouldn't be too concerned.

Windows 7 is also along with Window XP pretty hit hard. Especially if you have upgraded from Windows XP to Windows Vista or Vista to Windows 7.
