Default A question for those who know Russian Tier 5 armor

Which is better: Object 906 or IS-3?

Fun to drive? Tends to live in combat? Easier to spade? Better at making SLs?

As far as i heard from other tankers Object 906 is a reall good tank but can't tank shots compared to IS3 which is a superb tank on downtier with its front slopped haul and ok gun . i would say go for object 906

I may save up to buy the two SPGs that are between me and the T10.

It really depends on your favorite playstyle.

I do believe IS3 is strong and in most 1v1s will hail victorious, however, if you know how to utilize light tank efficiently, 906 is the choice for you. It's fun to drive, doesn't tend to live in combat, but can dish out some serious damage.

I'd pick 906 only because I can't drive heavy tanks. I can, but I find it boring and frustrating in most cases. However, with correct amount of patience, angling and wise maneuvering - IS3 might work for you. It's well armored, does extremely well in downtiers and is rather cheap to maintain.

I destroyed 2 Objects from the side with machine guns the other day. Bit of a glass cannon.

I actually think it's a Russian equivalent of RU251 and M56. Those things are small, agile, can swim (well, the German and USA variants do terrible job at swimming) and can deal a ton of damage, while dying to pretty much everything that looks their way.
