Battlefront 2 Beta: Opinions?

Thoughts so far boys and girls? Loving it! How does everyone else feel who have played the first day so far?
Open beta starts on the 6th. Love to hear what ya'll are thinking thus far, and for those who choose to play on the 6th lemme know how ya feel when you get the chance.
We could probably have some good discussion about it.

I have heard people saying that it is an improvement over the first one, but they still are disappointed by the game and still want some improvements by the time it is finally released. My opinion until EA is gone it won't be the game we the people want.

I think it feels better overall, definitely not as hollow as the first one. That said, I'm still unsure of if I want to get the game at full price. I may still wait until it drops before picking it up.

Still hilariously bad matchmaking that loses to games like ours that are ancient and outdated.

It's still kind of bad. Ground combat is the same mindless spam trash, but the space is much much better

Disagreed. Ground battles are 10x better. Blaster bolt travel speed increased by almost 50 percent changes everything. Makes things more reliant on your aim and less about travel time prediction. Skills have good cooldown times and it doesn’t feel like a grenade fest. Stalemates rarely occur because of the class system and the game rewards skill far more than before. To each there own, but here is my thoughts. No where near the same.

It looks incredible, it plays perfectly on my modest gpu, but each mode gets stale from repetition after a round or two which was the problem with the previous games. :/ Maybe i just get bored easily.

Still requires S.browser. Game handles alright. I need to see the other maps since All Ive played is ironically DOTF map as the others arent available. Considering the content wont be segmentrd this time. It feels fine, spacebattles feel okay not my favourite though a good objective based map. Arcade missions felt bland. Could do some cinematic intros or something.

My main issue is the lack of music. It only plays at intense moments eg low tickets last stand objective. I kinda want music at all times

Should be open today, as for sabervsaber it’s pretty much the same.

Yeah even the first one had that, though it had to be a synced hit between Luke and Vader with their strong melee ability. Coulda done more with that.

It’s a lot like the original battlefront 2 from 2005 where whoever gets the first hit and has higher health usually wins against the other hero.

Just spent 2 hours playing it...

Game looks great, plays smooth, is kinds fun, but with whats shown on beta it doesnt look like its gonna make me get it day 1.
I dont consider its worth the pricetag, like somebody up here said it, game plays alot like old BF 2, but with some less options.
I'd much ratherly get my old dusty dvd case with BF 2 and play it till price of new one drops.

But hey its beta...
