[AOD] WT Division Competitive Wing reaches TOP 20!

Yesterday was an amazingly close and stressful day for the competitive wing. Some of you might have seen a bunch of Death's Eagles sitting in a room. Some muted, Some AFK, Some doing the Chronicles and Some constantly refreshing the Squadron Leaderboards. Who am I kidding, we all were.

About 4 days ago, AOD reached 20th position with 32 250 points. UA, in 21st was 32 050 or something. We had a bit of an agreement, We would only play if we get passed.

Yesterday, we start sitting and waiting, refreshing, looking for "Live" replays. IS UA Playing.
With 3 hours to go:
UA plays a game. 32 150. A win.
UA plays another game. 32 075. A loss.
UA plays another game. 32 148. A win.
UA plays another game. 32 258. A win. They have 20th place.

AOD plays a game. 32 290. A win.
UA plays a game. 32 326. A win.

AOD plays a game.
TYT.

"Ahhh F#ck".
We are rolling with 8 people, but another 8 are in the room.

vs The number 1 team.

If we lose this game, we have 1 hour to not only gain the points back from this loss BUT also get passed UA...again.
A near impossible task.

There is only one option.
Beat the number 1 team.

Needless to say, The game was not close.
We slaughtered them!.

We went in with 4 migs and 4 tanks.
They went in with 4 migs and 4 tanks.

We went out with 3 migs and 2 tanks.
And most importantly A WIN.

We get to 35 416 points. We gained a whopping 126 points from 1 game.
We are not 20th on the bubble, but we are 19th.

UA has 30 minutes to win 3 games just to pass 20th place.
They have about 32 326 points.
At the end of the night, they end up losing 3 games and finishing in 21st place with 32 067 points.

AOD has always had a massive connection with WT Squadron Battles.

We were one of the very first clans to do Scrims in July 2013.

We have always been doing both AB and RB Squadron Battles since it came out.
We are the only clan to have Top 100 medals for BOTH AB and RB since the start of the new rewards system.

AND in the first season where we as a group decided to drop AB Squadron Battles.
We reach TOP 20!.


This has been the build up of a lot of peoples hard work.

I want to highlight two people, Please note that there are many people who have made the foundation and helped these two people immensely but these two people are the main reason we are where we are.

DeKrieg and Poxie. You two have ensured that AOD got to this point. And the scary part is that we are still learning, still rusty.
Next season is going to be a belter.

That is 79 people who participated in Squadron Battles RB.
Lets see if we can beat that this season.

We are waiting for the new BRs at the moment, But guys, this is something that everyone can join. It will start between 4.0 and 5.0 and go all the way up to 9.7. Come and play, our door is always open.
