Cod BO4

Just watched gameplay for Cod BO 4, definitely gonna pick it up for PC. Check out youtube for gameplay references, the game looks great. Hopefully some of you guys and girls will pick it up as well. Their will be a PC beta, but I do not know the release date.

Release is Oct 13th. I watched the reveal event yesterday and it was pretty awesome. Bummed that there isnt going to be a single player campaign but 3 different zombie modes and the new Blackout mode will be awesome! I'm planning on picking it up. Also it's only launching on Battle.net for PC so that's gonna be weird.

Thanks for the release info, plus I didnt know about the battle net client release either that will be strange.

i'm on wait, watch, and learn mode right now. For three main reason actually:

1. Treyarch says that its boots on the ground, but in the same event they showcase an operator with a grappling hook flying around
2. No single player mode w/ BR implementation. I get it, its the "thing" these days, but CoD single player has been a part of the experience. I played OG CoD to infinite warfare and experienced the campaign, and to my mind it's such an integral part of the game and ripping it off seems like it's not a call of duty game anymore (especially the black ops name, to me the name is synonymous with decent campaign experience)
3. As i said in point two, campaign to me is an integral part of the game. So when it's scrapped replaced with BR mode and 3 different zombie mode but keeps the price tag to me is like salting a wound.

So yeah, i don't know if i'm going to get it. At the very least i won't get it full price at launch.
Bonus point:
a. the game to me looks very very similar to black ops 3. IW engine might have been stretch to the very limit of its capabilities. New engine maybe for the next game ?

I agree PresetJunkie, I'm mad about them stripping away campaign. I've always loved their campaigns and it feels like a shit move, but with their emphasis on zombie with 3 separate zombie modes/maps at launch(not future DLC) plus narrative for each of the "Specialists" I'm willing to give it a chance. I can say though the BR implementation is NOT why I will be buying it....but now that BF5 is coming out 1 week later....this might get bumped to the back burner only time (and E3) will tell.
