An i3 8100 absolutely destroys FX 6300 in games. See for yourself: https://youtu.be/9Etv7Nug72A?t=3m30s
The 970 is absolutely a beast they are pretty high on eBay right now but if you can get one for under 150.00 it's a pretty good deal and much better than a 1050/1050ti in that price range. I don't really think the 8100 was bottleknecking too much though as previously posted the new i3's are 4 core 4 thread and offer great performance if all your doing is purely gaming especially at 1080p. If your streaming or playing at higher resolutions / refresh rates the i5/i7 really starts to shine :)

In CPU intensive games like for example GTA 5 or BF1 it makes a difference. It may not seem to be a big difference in max FPS but may be a difference in Average FPS and how stable the FPS can be maintained throughout any scene. I upgraded from i5 6600k to i7 7700k and I noticed a big difference in how much smoother games are running, especially in VR.
For example, with an i5 6600k + GTX 1070 (system specs below in my sig) I was not able to run MSAA in GTA 5 and maintain 100+ FPS, while upgrading to i7 7700k and keeping all components the same I immediately was able to run with MSAA in GTA 5 and maintain stable 100+ FPS.
Ya your definitely going to notice those frame drops in VR.

Something like that would be a smooth upgrade instead of an 8350

and when playing ww2... it gets really annoying sitting at the loading screen forever before getting into the game, well basically the loading screen throughout the game it takes me a really long time to do anything, from getting into HQ, to getting into the level, even when the round is done, it takes so long to finish loading that, i almost dont have enough time to leave the lobby before another round starts.... and this game is on an ssd
If it's just the loading screen then a 45-55 dollar 240gb SSD for your most played games would speed that up for sure. I use a 120gb for windows, 120gb for warships, cs:go, rocket league and then a 1tb mechanical drive for the rest it seems to work pretty well. Steam let's you designate multiple drives and folders for individual game installs. It's a given that windows should be on its own SSD / m.2 drive. But having your most played games especially multiplayer titles that switch maps alot on it's own SSD helps alot to load maps and get in the game faster.

an sp s55 240 gig, just have ww2 and bf1 on it, which they still work just the loading on ww2 is still as bad it was on an HDD, so i thought it was either the gpu or cpu
A bottleneck in your cpu or GPU wouldn't really affect loading times it would result in dropped framerates, textures not loading in properly, huge frame drops in intense points with particle or pysics ect. Loading times are almost certainly either your hard drive trying to load the level or scene or you internert stuggling to connect to the game server if playing multiplayer.

havent done that effectiv just tried to play BF1 and on main screen i was getting a 4 to 5 fps smh wasnt going any higher
and yes i did have the games on an hdd before moving them over to the ssd, didnt know that i had to do anything else for them
ok i checked and both ww2 and bf1 were on the ssd, but i was thinking that the ssd might be the problem, but it wasnt so now bf1 is back on the hdd for now.... this shit is pissing me off.. might be the time for a full upgrade to either intel or ryzen
