Oh yeah! I can't wait for September 20th!!! I'm getting this one: http://www.canadacomputers.com/produ...item_id=124175
Nice! looks good better than my now old Strix 1070 TI lol
According to the video the Pascal is old... and slow
Eh...prices are kinda high.
I'll wait to see benchmarks.

I'll be waiting for an EVGA RTX 2080 Ti Hybrid, whenever that comes along. Hopefully it doesn't remain so expensive, and hopefully cryptominers don't snatch everything up.
I had one in my cart at EVGA but by the time I went to grab my wallet they were sold out.
I have a store warranty for my GTX 1080 that expires this fall, looks my 1080 is starting to act up and I need to warranty it. I'll start saving now for an RTX 2080 Ti, but I'll be happy with an RTX 2080.
This will complete my build for a long while.

Wish I can afford one but I'll eventually get one

I want to see a Framerate comparison between 1080 and 2080.
Lol

I’m in for an RTX 2080. Seems like a solid upgrade over the 1080.

They haven't released any benchmarks... All they showed was that a card designed around Ray tracing is faster than previous gen cards that weren't designed for it for Ray tracing specifically. Nvidia always makes it a point to show how much faster their cards are gen over gen in some sort of benchmark or game and for some reason have hidden all conventional rendering benchmark scores. My guess is maybe 20-25% improvement. If it was better than that they would been proud to show off scores like they have over the past 20 years in product announcements. I guess we will find out September 14th.

There have been leaked benchmarks of RTX 2080 beating Titan V in Ashes of The Singularity. Those leaked benchmarks are now confirmed and seem to be more true than fake because now we know specs of the card: https://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-...80-benchmarks/
Then there are also more benchmarks revealed for RTX 2080: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/d...080-benchmarks
There are no benches for RTX 2070 or RTX 2080Ti tho...
This totally made my day LMAO!!!!
Having watched alot of the tech demo's, it's impressive that these cards have the ability to do Ray Tracing in Real Time. Having experience with 3D modeling and using Video Copilot's Element 3D inside of After Effects to create all the 3D stuff you've seen me do, I know how tedious it can be to render with Ray Tracing. There was one tech demo of a designer showing off Ray Tracing inside of a modeling program of a porche concept that was very impressive.
Watching the BF5 demo, the comparisons they showed with reflections with RTX off and on ARE impressive. However considering what I spent on my 1080 TI Hybrid, I'll be waiting a while to upgrade, unless something happens to my card and EVGA RMA's it with a 2080 ti hybrid seeing as how the 1080's will be obsolete. That being said, having that level of detail will not hamper my enjoyment or my feelings on playablitly of BF5, which I will be playing :)
The other thing is even though it's real time, to make something like the Project Sol demo seen here, this STILL has to be modeled, and rendered out to an actual movie. The bench marks I'd like to see are how long it took to render this out.
Those aren't benchmarks they are Nvidia marketing slides. They are running games and settings to make their outgoing cards look as crappy as possible. The GTX 1080 is a 1440p card that is hugely choked at 4k due to it's much lower memory bandwidth even vs a 1080ti. HDR also hugely affects Pascal performance. I guess my point is to take it with a grain of salt as your milage will vary greatly depending on the resolution and settings used to compare the 2 generations of cards. I'm honestly more curious what they do on the mid-range segment. Is the 2060, 2050, 2030 going to be a rebranded 1070, 1060, 1050 respectively? I guess only time will tell.

Currently have GTX 1080(not TI) and am planning on upgrades around DEC. Thinking off picking up the 2080TI
