AMD CPUs are better value for money atm. Ryzen 2700x at your price point seems good.

It's $60 difference n it will outperform ryzen in basically everything at high refresh rates. N you won't have to tweak every single sub timing on your memory to get great performance.

I found a Windows 10 pro key for $14.00. It's legit but because it feels sketchy PM me.

You have an expensive MB and cooler that are only useful if you are overclocking but your CPU is locked. Your monitor is 1080P so you will not reap the benefits of a high end GPU. There are several ways to got but I would go with the K series CPU and get a deal on a Pascal GPU, then save your money and get a new monitor and GPU down the road. After a few months there will be better data on what GPU is best.

I recommend you always buy the highest end Mobo, CPU and GPU you can afford. They get antiquated quickly IMO so don't buy an older one. I'm due to build another as mine is 2 1/2 years old already. It's exciting to build a new one!!

High end motherboards aren’t really worth it for gaming.

Anything in the $100-150 price range will be just as good as something in the $200+ price range.

I’m not saying to get a rinky dink $80 motherboard, but anything over $200 is a waste unless you’re going to do a multi-GPU, high end overclocking, and custom water cooling setup.

If you can power 1440p at the settings you like to play at, then yes.

I have an Acer Predator bmiprz which is basically a 1:1 comparison with the Asus you mentioned. It regularly goes on sale for about $550. I love it.

If you are build in months to come, I would find the parts you are interested in and put them in carts at NewEgg, Amazon and Best Buy (yup got my 8700K there for $329.00) . This way you will get a good feel for the cost and will be able able to identify a good deal on the parts.

As for the need for high end motherboards, unless you will be doing intense overclocking you don't need one, I try to use Mother boards from EVGA because most of my other components are from EVGA, They have great support and if I have any issues they wont be able to blame the other part, not that they would though, I have had to RMA several things over the years and they have good customer service. Also it's one stop shopping for drivers.

    Happy shopping

ok im not gonna overclock my cpu very much because i dont really know how to do it, but im buying that motherboard because it have a wifi, and i need til to be able to use wifi because i dont have a way to get a cable all the way over to the router. os is there a way that i can buy a component to the motherboard so it can use wifi?

also i like RGB a lot and want it to be in sync, so its a little hard to find parts where the RGB can work together since there is so many different programs that control the RGB

I am a fan of the Corsair mechanical keyboards. I have a K something (75, 95?). I am partial to the Red switches since I mostly do gaming. Here is a handy guide:

You can go to best buy and try out a few keyboards, I like tactile feel without a click, the Razer green or MX brown are my preferred keys.
