Hello AOD! After a great deal of testing, coding, and discussion, AOD is ready to offer a Discord server for clan communications!

I'm excited to see what Discord can bring to the clan as a whole. Thank you to all the Officers that worked hard to make it possible and pretty darn seamless for setting up permissions,etc.

Is Discord going to be used for any of the Battlefield 5 Private Servers (when they are available)?

Hi Arch,

One of our members brought this to my attention today and figured I would forward it to you on here for review. Large communities can apply for "Discord Partnership" which basically gives your server a bunch of extra features and perks. Not sure if any of them would interest you guys or be of benefit for the discord server.

I would suggest following up with the Battlefield leaders on this one. Discord is only AOD Members right now, and only text without voice. So I am not sure of value to BF5 servers, in my limited view. Jake or Nuke could speak better to it.

I'm not a fan of Discord because it doesn't play nice with my PC. It always freezes when I try to connect to voice and I have to kill it via task manager and restart it. Plus the Voice function isn't even that good since it loves to drop inputs mid-sentence. So while everyone else is acting excited I'm offering up a disgruntled "Why?"

Nothing is changing regarding the forums and TS, those are still our main means of communication. Our discord is intended for text chat only and is totally optional, if you don't want to use it that is totally fine.

Discord is an optional text based chat system, the clan is using for near real-time communications.

Our VoIP service remains as Teamspeak
