Tbh we need more different games that doesn't necessarily have to have multiplayer in it. Fans have been wanting a single player title for a really, really, really long time. I am somewhat glad we're finally getting a single player focus game... Somewhat... Being EA and all. Still though, Its a start.

Looks hella lame and too scripted. As much as I don't want another sandbox game, I do think a sandbox style Star Wars game would be pretty cool. Something along the lines of Skyrim, where you can actually make your own story and aren't forced into going down a specific path.

Also I think they should have used another engine. The Frostbite engine is getting boring to see from EA games all the time. I know it's EA mandated and all, but holy fuck is it getting stale. The movements always look the same.

The Engine used for this game is actually using the Unreal Engine, I think the respawn team actually saw how shitty the Frostbite engine was as it was primarily built for games such as Fifa, Madden etc not combat type games. when they actually started to make Battlefront they had to spend half of their time recoding the engine so it works so that's why it acts so shitty.

Unreal Engine is incredibly powerful but seems very lacking in this footage, even for pre-alpha.

Ooops my bad, all I knew was when EA had battlefront in production they had to modify the Frostbite engine for it to work, especially when they have to work to deadlines. So i was only going on that

Honestly I think it looks extremely fun, and I'm nothing if not excited.

It looks a little too linear for the style of gaming I enjoy. And that the combat/moves will probably looks cool but I'd worry that it would start to feel repetitive. Still hope it's epic but I'm not holding my breath.
