I've got a friend who has just started college and he's looking for laptop recommendations.
He's studying graphic design and is an avid gamer, though he doesn't own many high end games currently (The latest one probably being GTA5).
When it comes to laptops I've honestly no idea what is good and whats bad as I just prefer building and using desktop systems.
Does anyone use gaming laptops and have any good recommendations? anything really up to $1000 would probably be possible for him.

I use an HP Omen 15. So far, it's been quite reliable.

Ive had several ASUS laptops and had no complaints. Theres also MSI and Gigabyte, among others.

Or theres Amazon of course. Budget is kinda limiting, but you can still get something decent for 1000 or so.
