I lost my sound when I updated the version of windows 10 today. Does anyone here know what could be wrong? I already checked in the control panel and it is set to default, I just cannot hear anything.

Good point. Since I have a Sound Blaster card I:
Disabled / Enabled correct audio in Control panel > Sound (didn't work)
Updated my audio driver (didn't work)
Disabled motherboard audio (didn't work)
Updated Soundblaster CC (didn't work)
Reinstalled Soundblaster CC, deleted other audio profiles in control panel, and switched from speaker to headphones in Soundblaster CC (WORKED!)
It's possible that I only needed to change from speakers to headphones in Soundblaster CC the whole time. You live and learn.
