Default Getting New Monitor - advice?

So I want an IPS fast refresh display with 2560x1440, 27", G-sync or G-sync compatible, ~$500. I have owned ASUS and DELL in the past and am happy with both.
Using for BFV and general PC stuff like MS Office, surfing pr0n, etc...

    Looking at the following:

    1. ASUS Tuf Gaming VG27AQL1A https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/TUF-GAMING-VG27AQL1A/
    2. ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQ https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/ROG-Strix-XG27AQ/
    3. Dell S2721DGF https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell...or-accessories

All are good, I think. The Dell has good color accuracy. ASUS models have complaints about displayport going into deep sleep mode.

    Thoughts?

I just recently got the Dell and it's a great monitor. I can't really comment on the other 2 you mentioned though.

2721dgf is the best no question. If you can get the LG 27GL850 for a good price its a solid option as well. They use the same exact nano ips panel but the LG is only 144hz. I own it but paid full price and wish I'd known about the 2721dgf at the time.

This post is a year old so I am wondering if someone has updated advice for a decent monitor for HLL. Size matters but I do know that 38" price point is very high. So is a 38" worth double the cost? Anyway, if someone has in mind a good 34" or 38" monitor that would be helpful. Thank you.

I purchased one like this last February and have been very happy with it on all game types, including HLL and other FPS games. I was looking for a 34" ultrawide IPS panel with 1440 res, at least 144hz refresh, and g-sync. This checked off all the boxes:

Make sure you also check out the reviews at https://www.rtings.com/ since they do a lot of very in-depth testing on monitors.

I'm guessing you mean ultrawide since you mentioned 34" and 38". I have the 34gp83a. It's honestly awesome. Just an uktrawide version of the 27gp83 which has great reviews as well. Earlier today the 34gn850 was on for about 20% off on Amazon. It's the previous version but pretty much the exact same thing. Still overclocks to 160hz. Still an LG nano ips panel.

    Default Walmart special is awesome

I needed a larger monitor and wanted to try s curved one.
This is only 29" but it is almost too large of you sit close I have to bounce my eyes around or turn my head to see.
Was $299 when I bought it.
    Almost too bright though.

Turn the brightness down. 29" is too small for ultrawide tho. You know how up with the vertical height of roughly a 23" monitor. Depends on what you're used to tho. I went from a 24" 16:9 to a 29" ultrawide once and returned it the next day. Felt so small I hated it.
