    Default Excited for some new headphones coming my way

    As a little treat to myself I decied to order myself some proper headpones as I am curently using some Klipsch s4 earbuds. They are awesome and sound great but the earbuds are causing some pressure issues in my inner right ear. So I splurged and bought soem Sennheiser HD 560s headphones. I figured i'm worth it and they arrrive tomorrow, so looking forward to testing them out with games, and music. Can't wait to get them. Out of curiosity what kind of headpones do you all use?

    Solid choice. I'd of probably grabbed one of the drop options (6xx or 58x jubilee) if i went senn just because I like the look and band better. Heard the 560s is similar in sound signature to one of them but can't remember which. I'm still rocking my original ad700 with over ear mod. Nothing really compares to them for directionality in games so I'm hesitant to update. Likely going with dt990's if I do tho.

    After 3 failed delivery attempts by UPS , I fnally got them today. Been using them for a couple of hours so far and I have to say that they have exceeded my expectations. Super crystal clear, solid bass output and nice flat mids as well. They are also very comfortable. No pressure around the ears and the headband is snugbut not too tight. Big thumbs up !

    In answer to your Question Bobnoxious I use a Blue Yeti-X USb mic. Happywith it for sure but I have no idea how good or bad I sound when in teamspeak. That would be up to you all to determine.

    I gear ya Dutch. I read and watched alot of reviews and they diretly compared the 6xx model with this one and said that , in their opinion, at the worst the sound quality was the same or better. The ones I bought were $200, and I believe the 6xx ones are $500? Im all about the best bang for the buck :)

    6XX are $220 and 58X are $170 I think. DT990 at $180 US would be a solid choice too. 660S are a great set of cans tho and you didn't have to deal with drop. I've heard they are pretty slack on getting stuff shipped out quickly sometimes.

    I have always heard good things about Sennheiser. I think this is just more confirmation that it is a good brand. For whatever reason, I have always enjoyed Bose wireless headphones. Maybe one of these days I will have to pick up some Sennheiser's.

    Been using a Sennheiser Game Zero headset for a year or two. The sound is super clear, sharp and well-defined compared to other gaming headsets I've tried such as the SteelSeries Arctis Pro. The Sennheisers sound especially good paired with a Sound BlasterX G5 digital-analog converter (DAC, which is basically an amplifier) in Scout Mode where it's much easier to hear enemy footsteps. My kid was down for the weekend, and he was amazed at how well he could hear them.

    Have some DT770s with a soundblaster X3 dac/amp. I had some Sennheiser's 598s but was finding them lacking in the bass department. Can say I am glad I switched the DT's have some good bass being closed back headphones.

    The two sets I use is;

    Main: DT 990 pro with a schiit stack (magni/modi 3)

    Second: sennheiser game ones (open back) and I pair it with my hel or Soundblaster g6.

    Vorsair Void Elite wireless here, My only complaint with it has been corsair's icue software itself. for a while there it was crashing all the fucking time and it would cause my mic to stop working. That has finally gone away about 2-3 months ago.

    other minor complaint is if you don't go in to icue and turn the LEDs off on the headset your battery life is ~60 minutes instead of ~8hrs

    I got a $20 pair of sony headphones from walmart and then use the built in mic on my laptop. Been lucky, their great, and my cats haven't chewed the cord. These days you have to be careful though, so many headsets/phones are garbage hooked up to a computer because they were made for devices like ipods and such. I have friends that have trouble every time when they get on every day needing to fiddle with settings to get it functioning somewhat ok.

    Not sure if anyone else mentioned it but take a look at Antlion ModMic. They have a wired and wireless attachable microphone. I have a set of Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro's 250ohm with a ModMic 5.0 attached. Amazing headphones combined with an amazing microphone. Difficult to beat.
