I was finally able to get a hold of a 3080 ti last month. Spent way more than I would have liked to but at least it was around MSRP and by that point I knew it was the best I was gonna get for a long time. Should post something soon.

Isn't BestBuy selling them today in store with some kind of lottery system?
Still Waiting lol.

Just out of curiosity, I went to check how much my 2 year old Sapphire Vega 56 Pulse was going for on the second hand market: locally it's going for around 600-700€ (a 2 year old GPU, btw).
I bought it new, 2 years ago, for 380€ + 3 free AAA games. Crazy...
From all the stuff I've read and hear, I'm skeptical about prices ever returning to what the used to be. Hope I'm wrong, but I don't know. Why would nVidia and AMD lower their prices when they are selling everything they have now at almost any price they put on them? They have reported record profits this last year, so why lower the prices if the demand is still there and they sell everything they have, even at ridiculous prices? Here's a interesting video from Linus Tech Tips, it's from March, but still very relevant:

Wish I was wrong. Not looking good for the high end stuff, and I doubt it'll be any different for the mid and low range GPUs:

EVGA is redoing their queue system. Check your EVGA notifies and limit to 2 cards. Ultras of FTW and XC editions are expected to be back in stock first.
Per EVGA:
1. The queue system will be rolled back to the previous rule.
a. Anyone who missed a card from Monday, October 4th, will be notified on the next release.
b. EVGA will continue to send notifies through October 8th.
2. In order to get cards to gamers sooner, please go to the notify page here and keep selected your top two cards that you would like to purchase and remove the others.
a. On October 11th, 2021 the system will only lookup and send notifies based on your two oldest entries.
b. Going forward the queue system will only allow for two 30 series notifies on the current lineup.
c. EVGA strongly suggests to keep the FTW3 ULTRA or XC3 ULTRA models due to consistent supply compared to limited supply on K|NGP|N, HYDRO COPPER and HYBRID due to supply constraints.
d. EVGA is also going to be adding SMS verification to the checkout process for all notifications to catch bot orders.
3. The queue system will not be turned back on until the current queues are fulfilled.
4. The checkout window is 20 hours from the time of notification released.
EVGA appreciates your feedback to continue improving the queue system to deliver 30 Series cards into as many gamers hands as possible.
Finally receiving one. So should be up and Running tomorrow possibly latest Saturday if it doesn't fit in my Current Case. Likely the Case due to the Case :P
I've found it pretty easy to find cards now. Retailers seem to be not posting stock on their sites so if you visit a couple times a week you're likely to find yourself a card. Got a 3070 and ended up selling it and grabbing a 6800xt. Depends what cards you want tho. 3060, 3060ti, 3070, 3070ti, 3080ti are easy to find. 6700xt, 6800xt and 6900xt are as well. 3080 and 3090 are almost impossible to find because almost every one still being made was pre ordered by someone somewhere. 6800 is also hard to find because it has better bang for buck than most of the other cards in AMDs lineup. AMD and their AIBs seem to think they can charge the same or more as their nvidia counterpart tho despite having less features. Half a dozen different 6700xt cards from different AIBs in stock at my local Memory Express but they want $1050-$1200 CAD. Meanwhile 3070s come in stock quite often for $930-$1150. 3070 is an easy buy over a 6700xt any day. Especially when its cheaper lol.

3080s are almost impossible to find. 3070 for example I've seen a bunch in the $930-$1050 CAD price range. Usually cards with an msrp of $500 end up around the $800 mark in Canada after exchange and import gouging at retailers. Its not msrp but it's also not insane double msrp like it was a few months ago (still is at scalper pricing). I've also seen plenty of 3080ti for around $1900 CAD which isn't insane considering its $1200 USD msrp and the fact these are AIB cards I've been seeing. Just counting exchange rate on $1200 USD you're already over $1500 CAD. 3080ti is already overpriced to begin with tho so they are easier to find because scalpers don't have as easy of a time flipping them. Also you'll never find stock on a website. Thats my point. You have to hunt in person at retailers.
