    Default Lag

Anyone know what would cause my pc to have massive lag, but only in apex? All my other games are working fine, just Apex is running at 60ms. Its been an issue on and off for a few weeks now, would you think its related to the ISP?

Looks like others are having the same issue and it's a server-side issue. Very unfortunate.

Serious question, is 60ms really lag?

I remember a time before server side normalization when anything under 250ms was considered totally normal in most online games.

    It's 60ms then spikes to 500.

I run a pretty good system. 250MB/sec fiber internet, normally 1-2 ms for my desktop, 10-20ms for the apex server in North or South Carolina, but lately it's been unplayable, especially at peak times.

You can check with PingPlotter, which is free for home use. The "14-Day" trial is only for PingPlotter with the "Pro" features enabled (these aren't needed for this purpose). Once the 14 days expire, the freeware feature (a simple pingplot for one IP address) still works indefinitely.

You can PingPlot a reliable DNS server. If that's normal, it's the Apex server (or backbone congestion along the way).
    Examples:
    8.8.8.8 (Google DNS)
    1.1.1.1 (CloudFlare DNS)

What I've found is sometimes it's the Apex server, and sometimes it's ISP network congestion because they've oversubscribed my neighborhood (especially during primetime).
